The 2025 Chevy Equinox launches the crossover’s fourth generation with an extensive list of new features, changes, and updates, headlined by just short of a dozen new high-tech safety systems. Now, after looking in detail at the vehicle’s trim levels and other aspects, we’re zooming in on the available Chevy Equinox wheels for the model year.
Six different sets of 2025 Chevy Equinox wheels are on offer across the crossover’s three trim levels, including LT, Activ, and RS. Each trim gets a standard wheel, while three additional wheels can be optioned, two for the LT and one for the RS trim levels.
Among the Chevy Equinox wheels on offer for the 2025 model year, there are 17-inch, 19-inch, and 20-inch rollers included in the lineup. Two of the wheels are extra-charge options, including the 19-inch Black machined-face aluminum wheel priced at $600 and 20-inch Black painted aluminum wheel costing an additional $500.
One set of 2025 Chevy Equinox wheels is included as part of the Midnight Edition package (RPO code WN5), which is priced at $895 without a sunroof or $1,045 with a sunroof and roof rails. Full availability details are shown in the following table:

Pricing for the 2025 Equinox starts at $29,995 base MSRP for the entry-level LT trim configured with front-wheel drive, and rises to $36,395 for the all-wheel drive version of the range-topping RS trim. These prices include the destination freight charge of $1,395. The official configurator for the fourth-generation crossover is currently live, enabling potential buyers to explore the many available packages and options, including different Chevy Equinox wheels.
You can also check out GM Authority‘s in-depth looks at the new base LT with its chrome-trimmed front fascia and lineup of basic exterior and interior features. The Activ trim level gets a rugged look, though its off-road enhancements are limited to all-terrain tires, with no performance differences to set it apart. The RS trim features a sporty appearance.
For motivation, all three 2025 Equinox trims are equipped with the same powerplant, the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine developing 175 horsepower. Torque depends on drivetrain configuration, with the LSD producing 184 pound-feet in front-wheel-drive variants and 203 pound-feet of torque in all-wheel-drive crossovers.
The 2025 Chevy Equinox is underpinned by an updated variant of the GM D2 platform, with increased wheelbase, length, and width. Production will take place at the GM San Luis Potosà plant in Mexico.

I guess I am old-skool. The 17 inchers appeal to me most because of ride quality (more tire sidewall) and affordability overall (standard equipment, tire replacement cost).
My ’24 Trax Activ has 18″ black wheels, and while I like the contrast with the Cacti Green, I am kinda “over” the black wheel trend. The all-black wheel above looks the worst, imo.
I have an RS on order with the 19’s which I’d say are the best looking wheel. As for the optional 20″ they will be hard to clean, too busy and no opening big enough to get your hand in to clean inner barrels.
The Split-Pea Soup Green really pops .
They are all ugly. I will have to buy after market.
Besides having just one choice of engine (that should really have 200hp) they did a great job with the 4th gen ICE Equinox. They nailed the exterior colors, tech and wheel offerings that will appeal to a vast majority of buyers. Someone was thinking when they didn’t force all-black rims on any of the trim levels, unless there is a blackout package all-blacks should be optional. Now if they could fix the offerings on the Equinox EV…….
Well said, finally only one all black choice and hopefully not standard unless on the blackout package. That blacked out trend needs to die.
While the motor is adequate, an option is needed and coming, a hybrid is exactly what it needs. No 2.0 with 250hp but a hybrid in this day in age will sell better. The standard motor does well, the hybrid will take it up a notch. Excited to see that come out.
Maybe a dumb question but what is the major issue with offering a normal all silver alloy wheel at least on the LT version? Every single wheel that isn’t all black is machined faced which is still better than all black. I do give gM some credit by not making the same mistake Kia did with the 2021 onwards Sorento making the majority of trims with all black wheels.
