GMC Sierra Driver Crashes During High-Speed Police Chase In Michigan: Video

Police have released a new two-minute video showing highlights from a high-speed chase involving a GMC Sierra pickup truck. The video, published by the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office in Michigan, was captured from the dash cam of a patrol vehicle involved in the pursuit. According to police, the incident occurred on July 2nd, 2024, and began after police received a report of a home invasion and carjacking. Law enforcement later located the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, at which point the suspect allegedly fled.

The video showcases the intense chase and the eventual crash that ended it. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported as a result of the collision.

In the video, police are seen in pursuit of the GMC Sierra pickup truck, driving down the wrong lane of the road as the driver attempts to evade capture. The truck leans precariously on one side, likely due to two destroyed tires, causing it to ride on its rims. As the chase continues, the truck moves down the center lane of the road while police navigate through traffic to keep up.

Throughout the video, the GMC Sierra heads directly towards oncoming traffic, including towards several semi trucks. Miraculously, the driver manages to avoid a collision, at least for a while. The chase winds through a town and onto the interstate, with the footage capturing particularly harrowing moments as the GMC Sierra and police narrowly avoid colliding with other motorists.

Around the one-minute, 10-second mark, a clear view of the missing tires on the driver’s side of the truck is shown. The driver continues to weave through traffic, but eventually loses control, causing the rear end of the vehicle to pitch sideways. The truck slides into oncoming traffic, ultimately slamming head-on into a Lexus SUV.

The video concludes with police officers exiting their cruisers with guns drawn, pulling the driver from the damaged Lexus. The final scene shows the driver of the GMC Sierra in handcuffs.

  2. Why did these cops think they had to pull the driver of the Lexus out of his vehicle? The man could be injured and the douchebag “Peace Officer” may have caused some real severe injuries.
