About GMC Hummer EV Pickup
Production of the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup began this past June, with the nameplate introducing a handful of significant changes and updates over the preceding 2023 model. That includes the launch of two entry-level trim levels, the 2X and 2, though GM Authority has learned that the “base” 2 trim has been dropped. Range-topping Edition 1 and 3X trims round out the all-electric Hummer off-road pickup truck lineup for the 2024 model year.
Another critical update for the 2024 Hummer EV Pickup is the introduction of the new Omega Edition, which won’t return for the 2025 model year. This limited-run variant includes a unique matte paint finish, unique wheels, and a few other unique accents.
Both Hummer EV models ride on the GM BT1 platform, powered by Ultium Batteries and Ultium Drive motors.
For the 2025 GMC Hummer EV, the Sky Panel Storage Set returns.
Pricing uncovered for the 2025 Hummer EV Pickup shows that it will be available in just two trims: 2X and 3X. The 3X trim level will be available in two different powertrain configurations, including a tri-motor model with a 20-module battery and a tri-motor model with a 24-module battery. Notably, MSRPs are unchanged for both trims compared to the 2024 model year, including the destination freight charge of $2,295. That being said, GMC is offering an early reservation credit amounting to $8,150 for the 2X trim and $6,250 for the 3X trim.

About GMC Hummer EV SUV
The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV launched with the Edition 1. “About 2,500” units of the Edition 1 model will be built, featuring standard 22-inch premium wheels, assist steps, and floor liners, as well as all-wheel-steering. Motivation is sourced from a three-motor drivetrain and 20-module battery pack, providing a maximum of 830 horsepower and more than 300 miles between charges. It comes with an exclusive Moonshot Green Matte paint highlighted by complementary black and silver trim bits to provide a splash of custom flair to the special edition of the SUV’s inaugural year.
The Edition 1 joins the 3X trim to round out the all-electric Hummer off-road SUV for the 2024 model year.
The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV also gets the new Omega Edition, like the Pickup. Additionally, the SUV receives a new Bronze Beadlock Package, which includes a few bits and pieces to enhance the off-roader’s capabilities, complementary styling bits to go with the theme, and a new Cargo Utility Package as an LPO add-on. An Extreme Off-Road Package will be available for the Hummer SUV 2X and 3X trim levels, in addition to the range-topping GMC Hummer EV SUV Edition 1.
Finally, the 2024 Hummer EV SUV gets a power-operated swing gate, setting it apart from the Pickup, which incorporates the manually-operated MultiPro tailgate with six functional load/access features and EZ Lift operation.

That photo is a little misleading. I doubt there are many chargers along those 4X4 trails. At least not here in Colorado.
I doubt there are many gas pumps out in the wilderness, either! Most people probably aren’t doing 300+ miles of offroading at a time. Hopefully EV charging providers will see demand for stations near popular trailheads, though. That would definitely give people more flexibility to run electric camping equipment.
Article dated 7/31/24…..
At $1000/ month, I doubt that I wouldn’t be comfortable taking it off road, anyway. In addition, we routinely go up to 400+ miles of trail in a weekend. Most trailheads here are not served by enough electric to operate a charging station, or put up a gas station. We always carry at least 40-50 gallons of gas for the trucks.
Two HEVs have been sitting at the GMC dealer here for about a year. I asked the manager why they had not sold; he said the buyers he talks to don’t want EVs.
Same in our town outside Calgary Alberta. Except there is 4 of them. The most expensive one, a 3X with matte paint and loaded is $212,000 with fed tax and luxury tax!!! Salesman said they’re a waste of lot space. A fool and his $ are soon parted.
