Crane Structure Falls Off Building, Crushes Pontiac Vibe: Video

It’s important to enjoy the time you’ve got, because you never really know when it could all come to an end. That much is evident from the following video, which shows the moment a massive crane falls from the sky and lands directly on top of a Pontiac Vibe. Lucky for the Pontiac driver, she escaped the incident unharmed.

A Pontiac Vibe in the corner of the frame, moments before a crane falls from the sky.

According to a report from Inside Edition, the incident occurred last April on the 3rd Avenue Bridge in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Security camera footage shows normal traffic on the bridge during the daytime, with traffic flowing in both directions. Nothing would suggest anything out of the ordinary was about to happen.

Suddenly, a giant blue steel crane falls into frame, landing directly on a Pontiac Vibe. The crane crushes the entire passenger side of the vehicle. Amazingly, the driver exits the vehicle without injury.

Further footage, likely captured by a dash camera, shows the crane falling off the building, tumbling to the street below before landing on the Pontiac Vibe. A vehicle adjacent to the Pontiac Vibe stops, while the Tesla behind the Vibe appears as though it was damaged as well.

Seeing the driver escape the Pontiac Vibe completely unhurt is nothing short of amazing. The crane section obliterated the Pontiac, and if it had landed just a few feet towards the center of the street, the driver may not have been so lucky.

Unfortunately, the driver in the Tesla behind the Pontiac was injured, with footage showing her bleeding from a cut to her head. The passenger in the Tesla took his shirt off to help the injured driver stop the bleeding.

It’s pretty crazy to see the whole thing go down. Check out the full video right here:

It also proves how strong that Pontiac was built. If it was an Asian import, the ending would be terrible.
