Chevy S10 Invincible, S10 Brutal: Special Editions Coming?

Two GM trademarks filed in Brazil a few months ago suggest that a Chevy S10 Invincible Special Edition and a Chevy S10 Brutal Special Edition may be on the way for the South American country.

The trademarks for the Chevy S10 variants were filed at the country’s Instituto Nacional da Propiedade Industrial, or INPI, on May 9th, 2024. The S10 Invincible has serial number 934547920, and the S10 Brutal has serial number 934546983.

The Chevy S10 trademark filing includes the entry, in the “goods and services” category, of “Veículos terrestres motorizados, a saber, automóveis,” which translates into English as “Motorized land vehicles, namely automobiles.” This seems to signal two future special editions of the S10 specifically for the Brazilian market.

As a reminder, the Chevy Colorado pickup carries the Chevy S10 nameplate instead in some South American markets, including that of Brazil. While the third generation of the truck debuted in North America with the all-new 2023 Chevy Colorado, the S10 or Colorado in countries south of the U.S. is a refreshed variant of the previous-generation model.

GM began accepting preorders for the refreshed 2025 Chevy S10 in April in Brazil, with the Z71, LTZ, and High Country trim levels available to order first. The WT or Work Truck launched in May, combining features from the now-retired LS and LT trims offered for previous model years. The truck is also getting a new 2.8L Duramax turbodiesel engine developing 207 horsepower as well as 376 pound-feet of torque.

The General is positioning the refreshed 2025 S10 to take back market leadership of the midsize pickup truck segment from the Toyota Hilux, which has dominated for several years. Trim-level design has been optimized to appeal to targeted consumers, building up interest since GM pulled the sheets on the truck in early April.

No additional information is available at this time on the S10 Invincible or S10 Brutal Special Editions.

    1. How would shrinking the cab help fit people more than 5 feet tall? Probably would make it worse, as well as more uncomfortable. The longer box my yet still be in the works, these are preorder photos. In a lot of ways small trucks are kind of for small people. They don’t offer Silverado with a cab/seat that conforms to people less than 5’6”.
