General Motors has just announced that the all-new Cadillac Lyriq has become a support vehicle for the Tour de France, the biggest and most demanding cycling race in the world.
Cadillac’s European arm announced that the Cadillac Lyriq is the new official support vehicle for the EF Pro Cycling team at the Tour de France, as part of a strategic agreement that the luxury brand signed with the American professional cycling team. Both companies officially presented the new Cadillac Lyriq EF Education-EasyPost on June 28th, one day before the start of the 2024 Tour de France that takes place until July 21st.
“We are proud to announce that the all-new Cadillac Lyriq will be the first-ever electric vehicle to serve the EF Pro Cycling teams as in-race support cars during the most demanding, biggest bike races on the planet: the men’s and women’s Tours de France,” said new Chief Marketing Officer of Cadillac Europe, Jean-Pierre Diernaz. “The cars will trail the peloton on every stage, ushering in a new era of sustainable support for the iconic team,” he added.
Wrapped in EF Pro Cycling’s signature pink livery, the Cadillac Lyriq is the first fully electric vehicle to support the team throughout the grand Tour de France circuit. The Cadillac Lyriq EF Education-EasyPost units presented so far for the iconic French race are based on the Sport trim level and include special features such as the typical roof rack for mounting bicycles and special monitoring equipment.
The Cadillac Lyriq will follow the EF Education-EasyPost team throughout the 3,492 kilometers (or 2,170 miles) of the 2024 Tour de France race, every day, from start to finish. The route will stretch through the mountains of northern Italy and France in the men’s race and from Rotterdam to Belgium and France in the women’s race. The EV crossover will be a command center on four wheels, promising a quiet refuge for the directors and a lifeline for the riders.
Professional cycling races and the Tour de France are a global spectacle watched by millions around the world, where the Cadillac Lyriq will stand out for its distinctive design and the remarkable capabilities of GM’s Ultium architecture zero-emission powertrain. With this participation, Cadillac aims to make history and reach new heights as it continues the commercial rollout of the Lyriq in Europe.

Tres Bon.
I cant believe that pro cycling picked such a color. It is a good thing that the support car is behind the peleton; it probably speeds up the cyclists to get away from the color.
What are the EF team colors again?
Looks more like a Mary Kay car. Horrid
