Cadillac is attempting to boost conquest sales, or attracting customers away from a competing brand, of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq crossover by offering a $3,000 cash incentive to new buyers who own or lease a vehicle from a list of rival companies.
As reported by Cadillac Society, the $3,000 incentive for a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq is a sizeable amount as such incentives go, and has fairly generous terms at least as it appears on the Caddy website.
Specifically, the $3,000 can be applied toward either the lease or purchase of a new 2024 Cadillac Lyriq electric crossover, provided several criteria are met. There appear to be no restrictions on the trim levels the incentive can be applied to, though it might not be possible to combine the offer with certain other incentives. The buyer must also be willing to take delivery by September 3rd, 2024.
In order to qualify for the Cadillac Lyriq incentive, the buyer must have leased or purchased a competing brand’s vehicle at least 30 days before applying for the $3,000. If the vehicle is owned, it must be a 2010 model year or newer, while leased vehicles must be 2019 models or more recent. Eligible brands include Acura, Audi, BMW, Ford, Genesis, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Polestar, Porsche, Rivian, Tesla, Toyota and Volvo.
For comparison, Q2 2024 sales of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq and those of rival crossover utility vehicles (CUVs) are shown in the table below:

These consist of the RWD variant motivated by one motor mounted to the rear axle and capable of developing 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, along with the AWD variant equipped with two electric motors, one for each axle, and capable of offering output of 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque.
All Lyriq units versions are powered by GM Ultium battery and GM Ultium Drive motor technologies. These are able to provide range of 314 miles on a full charge for RWD units and 307 miles for AWD configurations of the crossover.
As for structure, the first-generation Lyriq is underpinned by the GM BEV3 platform, with production taking place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

I used to own a Tesla, so can I get another $3,000 ?
Funny how they consider small incentives as having been immune from inflation, when sticker prices exceeded it. I said the same thing a week ago about ridiculous GM Card redemption limits.
Chinese made trash disquised as a Cadillac..
Keep that POS..
Isn’t the Lyriq built by fine card-carrying union workers in Spring Hill,Tennessee?
Yes as far as I know, LYRIQs destined to Europe are also made in Tennessee.
Probably similar except charging jack will have to be changed out to Mennekes / CCS 2.
Never got an answer back as to whether in car chargers are changed out from 48 or 80 amp ones used in the States to 3-phase units.
Continental buyers used to complain that The Tesla Roadster could only charge at 20 amperes (4.6 kw) in Germany and 15 or 16 amperes (3.3 kw) elsewhere.
UK buyers could at least charge at 7.6 kw.
