After confirming the next-generation crossover for Mexico last year, General Motors has just announced the arrival of the all-new 2024 Chevy Traverse in the Latin American country.
The automaker’s Mexican subsidiary announced that it will soon launch the all-new 2024 Chevrolet Traverse in the domestic market of that country, pursuing the renewal of the Bow Tie brand’s portfolio that includes one of its largest lineups of utility vehicles worldwide. The new 2024 Traverse will arrive in the Mexican market with substantial design, technology, and comfort improvements designed for large families.
“The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse has a more robust and sophisticated exterior appearance, while the interior features design and technology details that provide greater comfort for occupants,” said Chevrolet Marketing Manager at GM Mexico, Angel Pacheco. “All of these attributes are complemented by a wide range of technological features, which will make every trip a connected experience,” he added.
Although the company has not yet revealed the trim level lineup for the country, the first official images and features of the all-new 2024 Chevy Traverse in Mexico reveal that the launch version corresponds to the LT trim level with some extra features. In particular, GM Mexico says that the 2024 Traverse for Mexico will offer 20-inch two-tone wheels, while the images show the AWD emblem on the liftgate.
Mechanically, the 2024 Chevy Traverse uses the only powertrain configuration available on the third-generation model internationally. It relies on the new turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 engine that develops 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, coupled exclusively to GM’s eight-speed automatic transmission. As the rear badge shows, at least one of the versions will be offered with AWD.
The all-new 2024 Chevy Traverse will be officially launched in the coming weeks in Mexico, where it will be available at Chevrolet dealerships before the end of the third quarter of the year. The units boast a comprehensive list of features, including the massive 17.7-inch central screen, the 11-inch digital driver instrument panel, as well as the Chevy Safety Assist package.
