Following the vehicle’s debut with the 2024 model year, the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV introduces several updates and changes, along with the eventual release of the high-performance Chevy Blazer EV SS and front-wheel drive variants that didn’t make it into production during the crossover’s inaugural year.
Now, GM Authority has learned that The General has postponed the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV until later in the summer.
Specifically, GM now intends to begin production of the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV on Monday, August 5th, 2024. As with all such scheduling, the date is tentative and could be changed at any time between now and when production actually kicks off. Previously, the automaker had scheduled the start of production for Monday, June 3rd, 2024.
This postponement likely won’t further delay the release of the 2025 Blazer EV SS, RS RWD, LT FWD and RS FWD variants which are supposed to begin production later in the model year. The SS is expected to feature a sport-tuned chassis and be capable of developing 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet of torque, leading to a zero-to-sixty time of less than 4 seconds.
Pricing for the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV has been uncovered by GM Authority, though only AWD prices are currently available. The LT trim with all-wheel drive has a starting MSRP of $48,995, while the AWD RS trim is priced at $54,295. These prices are inclusive of a destination freight charge of $1,395.
Among other changes for 2025, a single paint color is being dropped from the Blazer EV’s palette, specifically Red Hot (color code G7C), with no immediate replacement. The crossover will offer the Midnight / Sport Edition package (RPO code WJU) for the LT trim configured with AWD, and buyers will be able to option their vehicle with one of two roof colors, Black (color code 41T) or Summit White (color code 09T), if desired.
Under the body panels, the Blazer EV is supported by the GM BEV3 platform shared with the Cadillac Lyriq and Chevy Equinox EV, and utilizes GM Ultium battery and GM Ultium Drive motor technologies for motivation. The GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico is the sole North American production facility for the crossover.

have they said Why? Parts issues? Demand not meeting forecasts?
It doesn’t need AA- it has native Google built-in. Most people can just log into their same google account, download the music apps from the google play store and you have a richer experience than AA. All your google maps history carry over as well.
Not everyone use Google services.
Like you know the 80% or so of US smartphone owners that have iPhones and Apple services.
GM Delays 2025 Blazer EV here is why. I don’t blame them they have thousands of 2024 Blazer EV’s sitting down in Mexico. Watch for a massive amount of PEP Company Vehicles slightly used coming everywhere this fall. Apparently the GM Employees who are eligible for company vehicles will have only one vehicle to choose from for the immediate future and that will be the Blazer EV. When they finish with them they will be available as PEP vehicles and they will even have a pretty good lease. These vehicles will also be available to anyone eligible for Employee Pricing including retirees and their families. Only issue I see is GM pulled back on the Qmerit free home Level 2 Chargers on everything but the Bolt. So those taking advantage of the PEP Blazer purchase or lease will probably want to spend the $1200 or so to have a 40 Amp 240 line installed in their garage as there is a severe shortage of Level 3 Fast Charge infrastructure pretty much everywhere. Level 2 is quick and will handle the daily charging while you sleep. I have this in My garage and even though I drive 15000 miles a year the cost of charging off peak only came to about $40 per month for my Bolt. Charges at about 25 miles per hour of charging. Again you want to get the special rate from Detroit Edison. It is about a nickel per KWH less than without it. You can use the rate from 7PM to 7AM Mon thru Friday, and anytime you like on weekends, and federal holidays. My wife has also modified the laundry schedule to evenings to save nearly a nickel per KWH on the electricity the dryer uses. The Detroit Market will be one of if not the largest market in the US for these PEP vehicles due to the number of GM employees and retirees and their families. Should be a Great Offer coming from GM especially on the lease where GM will pass the $7500 tax credit along to further reduce the residual value on these PEP Blazers. Nothing though on a purchase as far as I know. These are great automobiles with a lot of power especially the RS and AWD models. Could well be the deal of the decade and there will be a lot of vehicles coming down the line. You don’t want the miss this upcoming bargain from The General later this fall. I recommend you contact your favorite Chevrolet Dealer so they can get one tagged for you early. Fox Chevrolet in Rochester Hills. MI has a lot of people who know a lot about GM’s EV’s ready to assist you. Don’t be snoozing on this deal they don’t come along very often.
IN my area (western NY state), the dealerships are all offering a whopping $8,500 off MSRP for a new 2024 Blazer EV. That is $2,000 less than the 2024 EV Equinox, supposedly a less valuable product.
If they are running out of room to store them, that could explain the attractive pricing.
The big question is, will the 2025 MY have NACS?
How nice the SS Blazer under 4 seconds 0 to 60 I just wished my Blazer EV had more range
Yeah, I don’t need a vehicle with 5,000 hp. My 2wd LYRIQ (2023) I just charged up full, and the GOM (that’s Guess-O-Meter) said I have 413 miles of range until empty. Now lately I’ve been driving conservatively, but the best feature of the LYRIQ is the 102.5 Kilowatt-HOUR battery.
Yep more range is needed than speed.
