The 2025 Cadillac XT5 introduces only a handful of updates from the previous model year, mostly related to changes in the availability of various packages. As GM Authority previously reported, the Platinum Package has been deleted from among the crossover’s available options.
Now, availability of the Onyx Package (RPO code PDB) has changed for a second time and can now only be optioned on a single trim level of the 2025 Cadillac XT5.
An LPO or dealer-installed option, the Onyx Package was originally offered on the Luxury trim level of the 2025 Cadillac XT5 along with the Premium Luxury trim, while being dropped from the Sport trim. Now, GM has changed the package’s availability again, and it can no longer be chosen for the Luxury trim.
As a result, the Onyx Package is now offered exclusively for the Premium Luxury trim and not for the crossover’s entry-level Luxury or range-topping Sport trims. It is priced at $4,995 and includes the following content (relevant RPO codes in parenthesis):
- 20-inch Gloss Black wheels (LPO, S2K)
- Gloss Black rear bumper molding (LPO, 5HR)
- Gloss Black rear fascia applique (LPO, VNI)
- Gloss Black front fascia applique (LPO, QJ5)
- Gloss Black grille (LPO, SJ9)
- Gloss black grill trim (LPO, E5K)
- Gloss Black exhaust bezel (LPO, VMP)
- Gloss Black XT5 nameplate (LPO, RIK)
- Monochrome Cadillac emblems (LPO, SFZ)
As a reminder, pricing for the 2025 Cadillac XT5 starts at a base MSRP of $45,690 for the luxury trim in front-wheel drive (FWD) configuration. The priciest trim level is the Sport with standard all-wheel drive (AWD), priced at $58,590. A destination freight charge of $1,395 is included in these prices.
When it comes to motivation, the 2025 Cadillac XT5 cradles one of two powerplants under the hood. These include the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine developing 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. FWD is standard and AWD optional on all trim except the Sport, which equips AWD as standard.
The XT5 continues to be underpinned by the GM C1 platform beneath the body panels. Production of the 2025 model year kicked off sooner than expected, beginning on June 24th, 2024 at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

Big deal. I want to be to get the updated revised XT5 in the country, not just China.
The CT5 feels like a Chevy, not a Cadillac.
Good. These hideous cheap looking blackout packages look absurd on these types of vehicles and are a total waste of money. They reduce these Cadillacs to looking like they went junk yard picking spare tires and wheels and took a 1.99 rattle can of cheap black paint and went crazy on the exterior.
No class ugly,oh that’s right they are looking to KIA buyers to buy a Cadi.No more spoke hubcaps lol.Goodbye Cadillac!,,
