The 2025 model year debuts the ninth generation for the first-gen, U.S.-spec Cadillac XT5 crossover, introducing only a handful of small changes and updates over the preceding 2024 model year. Notably, the all-new, second-gen Cadillac XT5 will be exclusive to the Chinese market. Nevertheless, customers interested in the U.S.-spec 2025 Cadillac XT5 can now configure the crossover as they see fit using the official online configurator tool at Cadillac‘s website.
Customers have three trim levels to choose from, starting with the Luxury, and followed by the Premium Luxury and Sport. Pricing starts at $45,690, which gets you the Luxury trim with front-wheel drive. Meanwhile, the Premium Luxury starts at $51,990, and the Sport trim starts at $58,590. The Luxury and Premium Luxury include front-wheel drive as standard, with all-wheel drive offered as optional, while the Sport trim level is standard with all-wheel drive.
In terms of mechanical specs, the 2025 Cadillac XT5 offers two powertrain options. These include the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, which is standard on Luxury and Premium Luxury trims, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, which is offered as optional for the Premium Luxury trim for an extra $1,000, and included as standard on the Sport.
Regarding the latest model-year updates, the 2025 Cadillac XT5 will no longer offer the Platinum Package, as GM Authority was the first to report. Previously available for the Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels, the Platinum Package included a number of high-end luxury items, such as Semi-Aniline leather seating, a leather-wrapped instrument panel, and more.
The 2025 Cadillac XT5 once again rides on the GM C1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
For those looking to customize their 2025 Cadillac XT5, the online configurator offers a convenient way to explore all available options and build the crossover to their exact specifications. From choosing the trim level, to selecting optional features, the configurator provides a comprehensive tool to visualize and configure the vehicle before making a purchase.

Wow, that thing looks terribly dated. They should have just skipped the 2025 model year altogether. It looks the oldest in its class (and probably because it is).
With EV being a harder sell than Mary thought from her fully insulated ivory tower, I bet she is regretting not selling the new-gen XT5 in its HOME COUNTRY.
It was dated when it was introduced. Now it is just looks like Caddy gave up.
Stop the poor decision by Mary and bring the new 2026 XT5 to America and build it in Tennessee.
It’s reasons like this Cadillac is loosing its share of the luxury market the XT5 replaced the SRX in 2017 and for 2025 the vehicle looks exactly the same what ever happened to the days when they changed every 2-3 years but don’t worry our friends in China will get a refreshed XT5. I am a long time Cadillac owner i am on my 8th one now. REFRESH IT BUILD IT HERE AND BUILD IT UNION. SAME WITH THE XT6. Which is what i currently own.
Dear GM,
Please stick your Exclusive Chinese market XT5 where sun does not shine and do not bother us, American customers. We do not need you. Get it through your thick skull!
We gave China our best Cadillac XT5 and well, we all know what China gave us. 🙁
If Cadillac can not build and sell the updated XT5 in the US, then this long time Cadillac buyer will be looking at other companies! Also, do you know how many Lyric’s you could sell if they were gas powered. You are losing so much money on the EV market.
