General Motors unveiled the fully electric, all-new 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ in August 2023. It sports a unique, streamlined exterior, powerful electric motors developing up to 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque, 460 miles of range on a single charge, and an exhaustive list of luxury features, plus cutting-edge safety and convenience tech.
Now, GM Authority has uncovered pricing for the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, which is significantly higher than all except the range-topping trim level of its ICE sport-utility counterpart.
According to the latest information, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ starts at $129,990, ranging up to $150,490 base MSRP for the Sport 2 trim level. Since this is the first year the IQ is offered its prices cannot be compared to previous model years.
Notably, all four available trim levels of the Cadillac Escalade IQ are too expensive to qualify for a full $7,500 or partial $3,750 Clean Vehicle Credit. IQ buyers cannot benefit from the federal EV tax incentives introduced by the Inflation Reduction Act. Actual prices for the electric SUV are in line with Cadillac estimates.
Trim Level | Drivetrain | Powertrain | 2025 MSRP + DFC |
---|---|---|---|
2024-07-09 | |||
Luxury 1 | AWD | Two-Motor Electric | $129,990 |
Sport 1 | AWD | Two-Motor Electric | $130,490 |
Luxury 2 | AWD | Two-Motor Electric | $149,990 |
Sport 2 | AWD | Two-Motor Electric | $150,490 |
DFC | $2,290 |
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ features a longer wheelbase than the ICE model, along with a lower, sportier stance. Boasting new, sleek styling, the vehicle rides on 24-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch tires. The driver has access to four-wheel steering, a fully independent suspension, Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, and Adaptive Air Ride, plus a potential maximum towing capacity of 8,000 pounds.
A curved 55-inch LED display stretches pillar to pillar inside the cabin, providing a dominating focal point for the cockpit. The SUV is equipped with an AKG audio system feeding sound to 19 speakers, with the option to raise the number to 40 speakers with an available package. The extensive list of tech goodies is headlined by the inclusion of the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system as standard.
Two Ultium Drive electric motors motivate the Cadillac Escalade IQ, giving it AWD and developing 650 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque while in Normal mode. Switching to the driver-selectable Velocity Max mode boosts maximum output to 750 horsepower and up to 785 pound-feet of torque.
The electric SUV offers a hefty 460 miles of range on a single charge, up from the previous estimate of 450 miles. Power is stored and doled out to the motors by a 200+ kWh Ultium 24-module battery pack and is capable of using the available Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) function to power external devices. The battery alone is worth $22,450, or somewhere around a sixth to a seventh of the vehicle’s total price. You can read about the full, detailed specs of the 2025 Escalade IQ in another GM Authority article.
The GM BT1 platform provides the bones for the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ. October 7th, 2024 is the date currently scheduled for the start of regular production (SORP), with the EV to be produced at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

No diesel?
it’s an EV
Absurd.
They’re trapped in their own sunshine….
With those prices, why the need for the Clestiq? Talk about arrogance…
not totally surprised by the price. cadillac already has several models that start out at or near 100k. with the atp of the escalade already above 100k, i dont see this as an issue for those who can afford it. gm might leave gmc as the luxury brand for the average joe.
They can’t leave GMC as the luxury brand for the average Joe because they can’t leave Chevrolet as the brand for the real average Joe! My employer’s (public school) Suburban was recently in an accident suffering over $30,000 in damage, and yet insurance refuses to write it off as the value of the vehicle is so high! My 07 Yukon XL was just $34,000 new!
the people who are in this comment section are not the target audience lmao, I’m sure cadillac will have no problems selling every unit they make
I am sure Cadillac will be able to meet the feeble demand for this- say a thousand units or so?
the sales numbers might not be super high (probably will be comparable to the hummer sales), but I’m sure they’re making a ton of money per unit and they’re probably a good conquest product for the brand
More like a bunch of state capitalist credits!!! Obey your masters voice. Sit. Lay down. Roll over. Good English bulldog!
✌🏿
Nice crystal ball

Hopefully this signals the end of launch editions.
Apparently the fancy Stanford MBA that MS Barra holds never taught the concept of economies of scale. This is a nice looking vehicle and looks more “Cadillac” than the current Escalade. gm spend tens of millions of dollars on dies and the such for such a vehicle, but because it is EV only, they will only sell a fraction of what they could have sold if this was hybrid or ICE. Stellantis had the right idea with creating a platform that could accommodate all three powertrain types.
Are you really using Stellantis as example of how to develop affordable vehicles? Stellantis US sales have been crashing for the last few years due to discontinuing their affordable vehicles and overpricing the remaining vehicles. We will see how their jack of all trades platforms work out in the future, but Stellantis recent sales volume history is terrible.
Who said I was talking about affordable vehicles? I was just talking about giving the customer choices and driving higher sales for gm.
The economy of scale here is in the Ultium platform, not in body dies. They don’t need to sell a ton of Escalade IQs because it uses the same motors ands drive units and batteries and electronics as the Vistiq and the Hummer and the Silverado and the Sierra, etc, etc.
cadillac already has the ICE escalade and the 2025 refresh is bringing this interior to the ICE models (not to mention a similar interior is in the celestiq), so the economies of scale are there for the interior pieces. As for the chassis and drivetrain its based off of the same EV architecture the hummer and silverado EV are off of, so the economies of scale are there as well. Not to mention the actual battery pack is a modular system with all new GM vehicles riding on the same platform, providing massive economies of scale. GM is the king of badge engineering and sharing platforms they certainly thought this out
You are sooo smart!! They are going to the moon!!! What could possibly go wrong with the volatile lithium ion platform in space!!!!
ULTIUM the brand of space!!
Sell me another one.
Are you laughing your ass off yet…?
GM has prices for all evidently. the new Acadia which can seat 7 and is very nice can be had for slightly over 40k. this is the opposite range. guess which one my wife wants…
I want one. I wonder what the trade in will be for my Lyriq?
