2024 GMC Canyon AT4X Launches In The Middle East

A couple of months after announcing the arrival of the 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X in the Middle East, General Motors has just officially launched GMC’s midsize pickup in the region.

The new 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X’s launch in the Middle East proceeded according to the schedule set by the automaker’s regional subsidiary, which had announced that the redesigned Canyon would go on sale in key markets in Southwest Asia during the summer. The 2024 Canyon AT4X expands GMC’s truck and utility lineup in the region – its largest export market outside of North America.

“The arrival of the first-ever GMC Canyon to the region marks a return to the midsize pick-up truck segment in the Middle East. The Canyon AT4X is the most advanced off-road midsize truck – and it signals our commitment to the continued growth of GMC in the region,” said President and General Manager at GM Africa and Middle East, Jack Uppal. “Canyon AT4X brings off-road performance elements we first introduced on our flagship Sierra AT4X into a more compact package, catering to a wider audience. We can’t wait to see it everywhere,” he added.

As we previously reported, the all-new, fully loaded 2024 GMC Canyon ATX4 is the only only variant initially offered in the Middle East, where it is positioned as the most advanced and first-of-its-kind off-road midsize pickup on the market to offer key segment-first features such as Baja Mode, electronic locking differentials, and Multimatic DSSV shock absorbers. In fact, it is being touted as the “official vehicle of nowhere.”

As such, the 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X stands out with its extensive set of standard features for intense off-roading and its elevated level of refinement – a one-of-a-kind combination that promises to win over adventurous customers. Along with the specialized off-road equipment, the 2024 Canyon AT4X is powered by the 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline TurboMax engine with 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, mated to GM’s new eight-speed automatic transmission.

The new 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X is now available for sale at GMC’s official dealer network in the Middle East countries, where it arrives imported from the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri – the only GM facility worldwide that manufactures the GMC midsize truck. Details on the vehicle’s pricing and availability in each country in the region can be found on the official GMC Arabia website.
