First unveiled in July of 2023, the 2024 Chevy Traverse launches the crossover’s latest third generation, debuting a long list of updates and changes. Among these changes is all-new exterior styling, with the crossover adopting a more rugged, truck-like appearance. The 2024 Chevy Traverse also introduces three new wheel designs, as outlined in this GM Authority Feature Spotlight.
The three wheels in question include the 18-inch Black aluminum wheels (RPO code EU2), the 22-inch Bright aluminum wheels (RPO code SAK), and the 22-inch Black aluminum wheels (RPO code SAY). All three wheels are offered as LPO-level options, which means they are installed by the dealer, rather than at the factory when the vehicle is initially produced.
With regard to the Bright aluminum wheels (RPO code SAK), units optioned with that particular wheel are shipped from the factory on 22-inch transit wheels, with the transit wheels later sent back to the factory once the dealership has installed the 22-inch Bright aluminum wheels.
As for availability and pricing, the 22-inch Bright aluminum wheels (RPO code SAK) are available for LT and RS trim levels, but not LS or Z71, with pricing set at $3,495. The 22-inch Black aluminum wheels (RPO code SAY) are available for LS, LT and RS trims, but not the Z71, with pricing set at $2,995. Finally, pricing is currently unavailable for the 18-inch Black aluminum wheels (RPO code EU2), which are optional for the Z71 trim only.
To note, the 22-inch Black aluminum wheels (RPO code SAY) also include the following LPO-level extras (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Tire Pressure Monitor (SD5)
- Black center cap with Black logo (SKT)
- Black lug nuts (SPY)
- Black wheel locks (SPZ)
As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Traverse cradles the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine as standard, with output rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. The GM C1 platform provides the underpinnings, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.
