As the luxury marque’s first production-spec all-electric luxury crossover, the Cadillac Lyriq is offered in a wide range of configurations to satisfy every potential customer’s needs. That being said, it can be easy to get lost among all the options, so today we’re taking a closer peek at the differences between the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury 2 / Sport 2 units and Luxury 3 / Sport 3 units in the following GM Authority feature comparison.
First off, let’s review the 2024 Lyriq’s trim level hierarchy. The new-for-2024 Tech is positioned as the entry-level offering, with the Luxury and Sport trim levels branching off from there.
Looking over the diagram above, we can see how Cadillac positions each model in the Lyriq’s lineup, with the Luxury 3 and Sport 3 trims standing at the top of the totem pole. Notably, the Luxury and Sport variants generally feature the same equipment as one another, but with a visual focus on either opulence or performance, respectively.
With that taken care of, here’s how 2024 Lyriq Luxury 2 and Sport 2 trims compare with 2024 Lyriq Luxury 3 and Sport 3 trims.
RPO / Color Code | Luxury 2 / Sport 2 | Luxury 3 / Sport 3 | |

22-inch Dynamic Split-Spoke Reverse Rim alloy wheels | PJA/PHZ | - | S |

- Power liftgate without hands-free operation standard
As illustrated above, Luxury 3 and Sport 3 trims are offered with quite a few more items than their Luxury 2 and Sport 2 counterparts. Some notable features include an available Nappa Leather Package, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a hands-free power liftgate. Of course, while the Luxury 3 and Sport 3 include the 22-inch Dynamic Split-Spoke Reverse Rim alloy wheels (RPO code PJA and PHZ) as standard equipment, every trim level can be optioned with LPO or dealer-installed 22-inch wheels.
As one may expect, the differences in standard and available equipment between the trim levels is reflected in pricing numbers, where the Luxury 2 and Sport 2 trim levels are $3,600 more affordable than the Luxury 3 and Sport 3 trims.
In regard to the “base” Tech trim, some notable items this variant doesn’t feature include front-seat massaging, slimline LED headlights and taillamps with choreography, and a hands-free power liftgate.

It’s wild to me that leather seats on a luxury car from a luxury brand are restricted to the highest trim level, and even then they’re still an extra cost option. They’ve even paywalled the best interior colors behind leather. Seems like they should be standard on Luxury/Sport 2 and 3, optional on Luxury/Sport 1 and N/A on Tech, although I’d argue that the tech trim shouldn’t even exist to begin with.
I am jkust going to keep saying that lack of HUD is a big mistake they mode on 23′ 24′ Lyriqs.
there are way too many choices and very confusing
I bought a 2024 aport AWD 8 months ago. I went to trade it in with 17k miles on it with no scratches, no cosmetic damage, perfect condition. They offered me 22k less than MSRP for it. Depreciation value on them is horrendous.
Leasing is the only way in current market if you want to get an EV.
EVs are much like smartphones nowadays.
