Debuting a mid-cycle refresh for crossover model, the 2024 Buick Envision is slated for a summer launch and features a new exterior with a redesigned front end and fascia, new exterior colors, a 30-inch diagonal infotainment screen and other interior updates, and standard all-wheel drive for all trim levels in the USA.
Now, it appears that the first units of the 2024 Buick Envision have started arriving at dealerships, just a few weeks ahead of the scheduled start of regular production (SORP) for the 2025 Buick Envision on August 5th, 2024.
Despite ushering in a significant refresh, the 2024 Buick Envision will have a short model year overall, as is demonstrated by the current arrival of vehicles at dealer lots combined with the imminent start of 2025 Envision production. The crossover is the fourth model year of the nameplate’s second generation, with the upcoming 2025 vehicle launching the fifth model year.
Pricing for the 2024 Buick Envision starts at a base MSRP of $37,295 for the entry-level Preferred trim, with the highest of the three trim levels – the Avenir – starting at $48,395. These prices include the $1,395 destination freight charge applied to the crossover. The official online configurator is live, enabling buyers to check out potential builds.
In addition to the aforementioned 30-inch infotainment screen, the 2024 Buick Envision also gets an increased number of standard safety technologies. These include, but are not limited to, Automatic Emergency Braking, IntelliBeam auto high beam headlamps, Front Pedestrian Braking, and, for the Avenir trim only, the Rear Camera Mirror (RPO code DRZ) as standard, while it is optional on other trims.
Propulsion is supplied to the 2024 Envision by a single powerplant, the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine developing 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The GM nine-speed automatic transmission is equipped as standard to handle cog swaps for all trim levels of the crossover. All-wheel drive is now standard in the U.S. market.
Structure under the body panels is provided to the 2024 Buick Envision by the GM E2 platform, while production will take place at the SAIC-GM Jinqiao South plant in China.

How do you say “10 months too late”?? They’ll still be trying to unload these well into 2026.
Boy that’s taking the phrase “slow boat from China” to whole new level. Nice job Roger, whoops I mean Mary.
“Short model year”? Hilarious! This car already suffers a year’s depreciation even before it lands at dealerships. Local dealers are still trying to unload new 2023 Envisions! C’mon, the competition is already selling 2025’s. My neighbour bought a 2025 Honda CRV about a month ago. Well… good luck Buick.
So, people here went from “stop importing these Buicks from China!” to “you’re not importing these Buicks from China fast enough!” really quick.
What happened too the enhanced parallel parking assist on Avenir models? I see them at dealerships but missing the sensors on the front corners. Why???? At that price point I expect it AND it’s been on the trim level even for 2023 models.
The 2025’s better not carry a higher price point than the 2024’s. GM should have just skipped this model year and called these 2025 to better align to the rest of the industry and help their dealers move inventory.
Just lost a 2024 Avenir sale. I have waited 5 months for the 2024 to replace my 2021Avenir lease. Who chose a Royal Blue IP Trim? Yuck! My wife and I both had the same reaction. Not for us. We are in Florida and the other interior is Black. That will not work here. SO, we bought out our 2021. Sorry Buick. You need to choose better interior colors. Our 2021Whisper Biege is beautiful. The Blue is hideous.
I won’t buy a Buick made in China.
