Shortly after launching the full lineup of the refreshed Chevy S10 in Brazil, General Motors has just launched the midsize pickup as the updated 2025 Chevy Colorado in Chile.
The automaker presented the updated 2025 Chevy Colorado in Chile this week during a special press launch event, introducing the fully updated model to the southern country for the first time. Chile thus becomes the third country in South America where the company is introducing the truck after Brazil and Uruguay, as well as the first in the region to debut it under the Colorado name.
“The New Colorado is aimed at customers looking for an off-road look, but also at companies of different sizes and needs, such as rent-a-car companies, leasing, government, agriculture, mining, engineering, among others that want a product with a high level of equipment,” said Director of Sales and Operations for GM Chile, Marcus Oliveira. “That is why the New Colorado has been ‘brutally’ updated to meet different types of expectations and needs,” he added.
In particular, the updated 2025 Chevy Colorado debuts in Chile with a comprehensive lineup of six variants spread across the Work Truck, Z71, LTZ and High Country trim levels. All include a standard Crew Cab configuration and boast distinctive finishes inside and out, the new 11-inch infotainment system touchscreen and 8-inch digital driver instrument cluster, as well as a complete list of standard safety equipment.
Mechanically, all versions of the 2025 Chevy Colorado are equipped with the new-generation 2.8L Duramax turbodiesel engine that generates 204 horsepower and up to 376 pound-feet of torque. In the base variants of the 2025 Colorado WT, the engine is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission, while from the most equipped WT version upwards, it’s matched to GM’s new eight-speed automatic transmission.
The order books for the updated 2025 Chevy Colorado are now open in Chile, where the pickup expected to begin arriving at dealerships in the coming weeks with units coming from the GM São José dos Campos plant in Brazil – the only facility in the world where Chevrolet’s international midsize pickup is manufactured for South America. Here is pricing for all six variants of the refreshed truck in the Chilean market:
