The 2024 Chevy Traverse introduces the crossover’s latest third generation, debuting a long list of updates and changes over the preceding second-gen model. Among these updates is new styling, with the 2024 Traverse adopting a more rugged, aggressive design that falls in line with Chevy‘s latest ICE-based design cues. Now, one 2024 Chevy Traverse owner has customized their ride with some tasty looking exterior mods.
GM Authority managed to track down a series of images posted to social media (thank you to Brian N Kandra Tanner!) showing a 2024 Chevy Traverse with a host of custom exterior upgrades. Before and after pictures reveal a tasteful splash of personalization that enhances the factory lines in a subtle, yet effective way.
Among these is a ceramic coating for the paint, as well as a ceramic coat and polish for the wheels. Although these measures don’t really change the look of the vehicle, they do well to protect and shine what’s already there.
More dramatic is the application of a limo tint for the side windows, as well as a “tuxedo wrap” for the upper portion of the vehicle body. The tuxedo wrap includes a black finish for the A-pillars, the rear shark-fin styled C-pillar, and the roof. The end result is that the customized 2024 Chevy Traverse adopts a two-tone look that definitely has our attention. Paired with the white body panels underneath, the tuxedo wrap and tint do well to make this Traverse stand out, but without shouting about it.
To note, Chevy currently does not offer the 2024 Traverse with a black or white roof, but looking at these photos, maybe Chevy should. After all, the Chevy Trailblazer offers a contrasting roof in black or white, the Chevy Blazer offers a black roof option, and the 2025 Chevy Equinox and 2025 Chevy Blazer EV will offer black and white roof options as well.
As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Traverse cradles the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine and rides on the GM C1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

Totally ruined the looks of that one. Get over black packages, already!
For $295, GM Accessory Black Lugs make a much bigger difference than ya’ may think. Its the only thing missing from this one now!
GM continues to kick-a$$ – gaining on their vision to lead in every segment they play in…
GM Paid poster ?
Nah. Just a data-watcher
Black shark fin looks much better!
What about that stupid and hideous four cylinder engine? That’s the first thing that needs to be worked on; it definitely needs to go and be replaced with a V6!!
that hideous 4 cylinder stomps a mudhole in the previous V-6 engine’s ass. A total torque monster, more HP and better fuel economy. It is based on the 2.7 that goes in the Silverado. Just sayin……
@Gruntster
I have a 21 Redline Premier. Drove a new Acadia. From my perspective the V6 is just as fast and quick! Plus it sounds better, gets as good or maybe even better fuel economy, and already has a solid reliability record behind it!
I like the blacked out fin. Hate the black wheels.
A 2.5L? Nah, I’ll keep my V6, all black, murdered out Blazer RS.
I like the black/white contrast, always have. Imo, it really sets this apart
from all the millions of other b/w SUV’s. I just traded my ’22 Explorer
Timberline in white with black rims, 2.7. But I had to duck to get into it,
and I’m only 5’11”. Went back to a 150. But to me, Chevy did a great
job on this.
The West LA/South Chicago Look .
Looks like a police vehicle, without the word “POLICE” on the side.
That’s it! That’s what was bugging me as to what it looked like. Good eye. Kind of like how the yellow with the black top GM is trying to pitch which makes the vehicle look like a taxi cab without the word “TAXi” on the side. 😂
I bout the 2024 Chevy Reaverse. It is plenty fast enough unless you want to drag races I want a V6 but I drive this vehicle and it is so much nicer than my 2019 Traverse. 3 things the R.S. has that other models do not have. Folding Mirrors, home link to open garage door and passenger seats that move electronics. The panoramic roof is awesome and is not noisy. Lights come on in the interior and exterior. It is a very limited because so many options are standard and I already have a 2022 Trail Boss v8. I would say drive it before you make a decision. My whole Chevy team at Winter Chevrolet helped me get the one I wanted from another dealership in about 6 hours. It pays to be a loyal customer. Thank you Sheryl and Crus for getting the Travers that my Golden Retriever curls up in the passenger seat.Mine is white pearl.
Chevy swings and it’s a goner. Grand slam for the new Traverse.
Yea definitely need to get rid of the chrome lugs for safety reasons because that sunlight coming off those lugs can cause an accident. Looks as bland as boiled chicken.
Wow aren’t you so clever!
But it’s almost July and you cannot find hardly any stock at any dealership!!!!
Just too much black going on for me. If the wheels were at least machine faced and the roof body color I could deal with the black shark fin.
