Take A Detailed Exterior Tour Of The 2024 GMC Acadia Denali: Video

Having made its big debut late last year, the 2024 GMC Acadia represents the all-new, third generation of Big Red’s three-row crossover. The all-new 2024 model delivers an overhauled exterior, an all-new interior, a new powertrain, and a healthy increase in overall size. GM Authority Executive Editor, Alex Luft, recently spent some wheel time with the 2024 GMC Acadia Denali in South Carolina, bring us the detailed tour of the vehicle via the below video.

For reference, the model shown in the video is the Acadia Denali with the optional Denali Reserve package, finished in Ebony Twilight (GB8).

At the front, the range-topping Denali trim level’s chrome grille is prominently displayed, along with Big Red’s logo mounted front-and-center. Flanking the grille on either side are two signature C-shaped Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), a unique design theme reserved for GMC products.

Moving lower into the front fascia, we can spot the secondary lower grille, which itself is flanked by two foglamps. Notably, the headlights feature a special design element that gives the Acadia a modern, textured look from the side.

Moving around the Acadia allows us to appreciate one of the more notable changes for the third-gen model – the larger size. For the third generation, the 2024 Acadia has grown in size to be longer, wider and taller than the preceding generation, bringing it in line with the Chevy Traverse and Buick Enclave.

Additional bits include the chrome DLO, which is brought to life in a more traditional manner due to its uninterrupted nature, as well as the dual chrome-and-body-colored door handles. Note that the 22-inch wheels seen here are exclusive to the optional Acadia Denali Reserve package.

Out back, the wraparound tail lamps feature the same C-shaped accent as the headlamps, while a Denali badge is proudly positioned underneath the rear glass, moving the GMC badge to a smaller position at the bottom of the liftgate. Interestingly, the quad exhaust tips boast a Corvette C8-esque appearance, despite being different from the units found on the mid-engine sports car.

Like all 2024 model year Acadias, the 2024 GMC Acadia Denali is powered by the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, an engine about which GM Authority was first to tell you over a year ago. Output is rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque and directed to the wheels via a GM eight-speed automatic transmission.

Under the skin, the third-generation Acadia rides on the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform, which now incorporates technologies like the GM Global B electrical architecture. Production has been moved to the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan and kicked off back in March 2023.
