General Motors unveiled the all-new 2024 GMC Acadia last September, showing off, among other things, a completely redesigned exterior complete with new exterior dimensions. Take a step closer, and you’ll find the 2024 GMC Acadia incorporates several interesting exterior features. Now, GM Authority is getting hands-on with the 2024 GMC Acadia in the following exterior tour video.
Clocking in at more than 11 minutes long, the video includes narration by GM Authority Executive Editor Alex Luft, who serves as the video host. The model featured here is the rugged 2024 GMC Acadia AT4 trim level.
As the video points out, the 2024 Acadia is larger than its predecessor, with more length, height, and width than the preceding second-gen model. The AT4 trim, designed for off-road use, sits higher than the other trims due to the combination of a suspension lift and larger-diameter tires. Additionally, the Acadia features a wider track for enhanced stability.
Up in front, the grille is adorned with black accents and dark chrome-style details, prominently displaying a red GMC logo and an AT4 badge. The fascia shows off signature C-shaped headlights and fog lights, the latter of which are unique to the AT4 trim. The AT4’s lower air dam was also specially designed to provide a higher approach angle for off-road adventures. Functional red tow hooks and dual skid plates – aluminum at the front and steel behind – offer robust protection.
On the side, the AT4 trim is equipped with 18-inch wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires. The wheels sport a unique design with black and silver accents, complemented by amber accent lights that add to the vehicle’s aesthetic. Gloss black mirror caps with built-in turn signals and cameras provide a modern touch. The black accents continue around to the daylight opening (DLO) and pillars, contributing to the Acadia’s sleek appearance. Keyless access buttons are conveniently placed on all four doors.
The roof features gloss black rails and a center-mounted comms fin. At the rear, a spoiler improves aerodynamics, while C-shaped tail lamps blend seamlessly into the rear applique. A rear camera mirror with a washer, along with a standard backup camera, ensures excellent rear visibility. A quad-tipped exhaust system finishes off the rear end.
As a reminder, the 2024 GMC Acadia cradles the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine and rides on the GM C1 platform. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant.

I would absolutely love having this 2024 Acadia AT4 in my driveway. Everything about it is attractive and appealing. The one and only problem for me is that now it only comes with a ridiculous four cylinder engine; a major deal breaker all the way. This particular version of the Acadia should have a V6 as an optional purchase. I know I’m not the only one wishing it was so.
I will not buy another Acadia. Larger is not what I want. I understand why no V6 as the laws make it near impossible to keep the larger engines anymore but I really do not want a larger Acadia.
Might go back to a Terrain. Also the new Acadia Styling is a bit plain.
I also do not need the fake 4×4 look.
