A few months ago, we showed you photos of the Cadillac Celestiq in the impossible-to-ignore Venom hue. Those photos weren’t of the highest quality, so we managed to get some better ones and are bringing them to you here in this exclusive GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.
Though the hue might not be for everyone, we think that the ultra-luxury sedan wears the bright green paint as well as a vehicle could, with the vast amount of bright and black accents breaking up a sea of Venom. This is perhaps most evident at the front and the sides.
The side profile also shows off how well the 23-inch wheels fill out the Celestiq’s wheel wells.
From the rear three quarters angle, the Celestiq appears to have a silhouette of a shooting brake, a shape that has stirred up some debate among the staff here.
The rear end is also interesting, such as the way in which the top tail lights join up with the trunk lid as well as the integration of the vertical tail lights.
Venom is just one of several unique Cadillac Celestiq colors GM Authority has covered in the recent past, including Boysenberry Matte and Habanero.
As a reminder, the Celestiq stands as the pinnacle of the luxury marque’s lineup. To help achieve this effect, the luxury sedan can be customized to its buyers’ imagination to create a unique, one-of-one vehicle.
This ideal also extends to the interior, which features hand-finished trim pieces throughout the cabin. A 55-inch coast-to-coast center screen is just one of five high-definition displays, as rear-seat passengers also get an advanced 12.6-inch-diagonal displays. Meanwhile, an all-glass roof panel – which features Suspended Particle Device (SPD) technology – allows variable transmission of sunlight into the cabin area.
In regard to structure, the GM BEV3 platform underpins the Celestiq, and features a 111 kWh battery pack that powers an advanced all-wheel drivetrain. Total system output is rated by GM at 600 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque, which results in a claimed 0-60 acceleration time of 3.8 seconds.
Production officially commenced at the GM Global Technical Center in Michigan in December 2023, with availability by waitlist only and pricing starting around the $340,000 mark. Additionally, Celestiq examples will be built by hand, with GM expecting that only two vehicles will be built per day, or between 100 and 150 units annually.

It still has Manufacturer plates, so not sure a pic of it parked in front an auto parts store is a good look.
Certainly not my color of choice. A nice dark blue or a burgundy color for me.
Interior photos?
Ugly car all around. The designers need to spend a month in a GM Service garage to hear what customers want and see the problems technicians deal with when working on vehicles.
Just my opinion, but this is a car that is so on the edge of being hideous yet stunning in a few ways, that the color can make it or kill in. This green makes this fall into the hideous side for sure.
Please Cadillac: Give us another beautiful CT6 like large sedan EV, but don’t call it CT6.
The shape of the car is just plan bad.
It’s literally the 6000 SUX from Robocop. Google it.
It’s probably the ugliest Cadillacs I seen ! Not a fan of the car ,color & price tag
Haha! Don’t worry they won’t make many of them at all.
This and Tesla’s Cyber Truck are tied for the most hyped disappointments. In the Tesla, the problem with that vehicle is that it is dangerous and rusts in 2 weeks.
The committee responsible for this visual atrocity should be reassigned. Now I need to go source some eye bleach.
It is laughable to think that this turd would appeal to anyone seriously intending to drop 340+K on a prestige vehicle.
What were they thinking? Or smoking? And who signed off on this?
The rear 3/4-view reminds me strongly of the Citroën CX of yore. No comment on that choice of color.
Citroen, “flies like a bird, looks like a t*rd”.
Thankfully they will be able to offload some in Paris now that they have a Lyriq showroom.
Well, now I have seen 90% depreciation after two years. “Celestiq” must translate to “White Elephant”.
The rappers are waiting in line. And they’re the only ones.
HIDEOUS halo vehicle.
I think it’s a great look. Please make an ICE version.
Exactly. Since the CT6 left, there is nothing that Cadillac sells that say “Luxury touring sedan”. It is performance based V series small sedans and nothing that is Cadillac heritage. Even the last CTS was cramped. Give the consumer a luxury sedan that has the room to stretch their legs without hitting their head on the headliner.
At some point tastes will yet again change and we will move on from white, all shades of silver and black cars. Along with this, we will move on from letting KIA and Hyundai set the styling trends. It’s a very uninteresting times in the automotive design world for mainstream cars. I personally like Cadillac’s attempt here. When you are good looking, you want to be noticed – that’s why I drive a coral colored convertible!
I think what most are missing in this thread is that Cadillac’s roots are French. From a design standpoint, the Celestiq is a flagship that I feel was inspired by a French aesthetic with iconic Cadillac design cues. When I see the Celestiq, I think Citreon. Take a look at classic Citreons and their design cues and elements. You will definitely see their influence in the Celestiq. It’s not my job to sell anyone on this car, this is only my opinion. However, stop evaluating this vehicle based on mainstream ideologies of design. This car is unique and for a starting price of $340k, hell yes, I don’t want my car to look like anything else on the road. Kudos Caddy!!!
No roots of the Cadillac vehicle relate to France whatsoever, other than the name.
Henry Leland was the founder of Cadillac in 1902. No ties with any French vehicle manufacturers.
The company was named after Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac a French born trader, “founder” of Detroit, who reportedly landed in Montreal and with a group of explorers ventured down the river to the site which would become downtown Detroit.
Cadillac returned to France in 1717. There’s a commemorative site down at the Detroit waterfront.
Henry Ford had worked with Thomas Edison and after work he experimented in engineering in a shed at 58 Bagley Avenue in Detroit, behind the duplex where he and his wife Clara lived. He built the Kitchen Sink Engine and the Quadricycle.
FWIW, Thomas Edison was the father or factory piece-work, paying parts produced, which Henry Ford employed in his factories and service departments as flat rate pay scale per job.
Henry Ford’s first attempt, the Detroit Automobile had company folded and became the Henry Ford Company.
Henry Ford designed what would become the first Cadillac model, to use a Leland drivetrain circa 1901-1902.
That was just before Henry was ousted by the investor group and moved on to start the current Ford Motor Company (FoMoCo) in 1903.
Henry Leland created Cadillac from the remnants of the Henry Ford Company in 1902, so Henry Ford’s design was the first model produced under the Cadillac name.
Cadillac was acquired by General Motors in 1909.
An interesting place to visit in Detroit is the Piquette Avenue Plant, which was the birthplace of the Model T and is currently a museum on the second floor worth visiting. It is available as event space for weddings and other gatherings.
Apart from one of every Model T on display or undergoing restoration, there’s an Oldsmobile, prototype machine shop and Henry’s original “Kitchen Sink engine” on display. There is a recreation of Henry Ford’s office and a plethora of historical information.
I don’t need a history lesson on Cadillac or its roots, sir. I’m well aware. I was speaking from design standpoint only. Thanks, though.
Looks like Krypton Green, last seen on the Camaro circa 2016, and the Sonic here in Canada the same m/y.
Is this some sort of joke?
The color belongs on an Aston Martin. The vehicle just doesn’t belong anywhere.
I wouldn’t buy it at $40K. Good luck.
I wonder how many Celestiqs have been built, sold and delivered to their buyer.
Ho is this color not available on the C8 Corvette ?
340K and they can’t even add the colors to the logo! They should’ve gone back to the original logo (yes, with the ducks!).
I think the logo should be.just the old wreath alone- very classy! That wreath belongs in the dust bin of old ideas.
I saw this car in Ann Arbor, MI as I was sitting at a light about a month or so ago and I can safely say that the car with a different car would look good.
As for the color it looks worse in real life than it looks in the pictures, but I am sure there are people that will buy it.
Anticipating Jay Leno driving the Celestiq in a video before long.
i like it. why not. lime green is cool.
Cadillac needs to take a step back and come up with a car that is not something few will like and fewer will buy. They have the platform in the CT5 to just enlarge, refine and add the Hybrid drive train or the Celestiq without the overkill in “design” and price. I still prefer the CTS 2014-2019 platform in design and size which is slightly smaller than the CT6. Also, come up with colors that look like a Cadillac and not “in your face” obnoxious. Even the racing colors for the Lemans & IMSA cars are strong but not an obnoxious statement.
IF IT WAS A $90K CAR, IT MIGHT SELL FOR THE GADGETS. IF THEY ONLY CAME IN THE COLORS I HAVE SEEN, I CANNOT BELIEVE ANYONE WOULD BUY ONE. CADILLAC OWNERS HAVE CLASS, THIS IS NOT CLASS. AFTER THE CT6 DIED AND THE CT8 NEVER APPEARED, I CONSIDER CADILLAC OUT OF BUSINESS. YOU WOULD THINK CADILLAC WOULD GET THE MESSAGE, EVERY TIME THIS CAR IS SHOWN, IT GETS ALL OF THESE AWFUL COMMENTS.
They should fire any management person that okayed this gross vehicle to production. Its a joke – and its the emperors new clothes all over again – lead designer keeps repeating what a gorgeous car and he hopes some moron will believe him.
UGH, this is how to turn an abomination green.
The Incredible Hulk?
Is it possible the person responsible for signing off on this color choice is color-blind?
This monstrosity after the CT-5V in “Phelgm”?
Are these the colors the GEN-Zers really desire and can they afford one anyway?
Cadillac Hearse Mobile aka Celestiq sales = 0.
So ugly it hurts the eyes.
That is the ugliest looking car I have ever seen. Such an embarrassment for GM. Time to fire anyone who brought that to production.
For that price they should have a lifetime battery warranty!
