Some 2022 Buick Enclave Units Need A Front Exhaust Pipe Fix

General Motors has released a Special Coverage bulletin for 2022 Buick Enclave units that may have developed an issue related to the front exhaust pipe.

According to Special Coverage bulletin N242445280, some 2022 Enclave units may have a condition where the mounting bracket on the front exhaust pipe can separate from the pipe. If this event were to occur, a hole can develop in the exhaust pipe at the bracket location, and a ratting or increased exhaust noise may be present.

It’s worth noting that this problem can be fixed at the dealership free of charge for a period of 15 years or 150,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership. It should take dealers roughly one hour to complete this fix.

As a reminder, the second-generation Buick Enclave was offered from the 2018 to 2024 model years, and was only available with a single powertrain configuration throughout its lifecycle. This includes the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, and the GM nine-speed automatic transmission. FWD was standard and AWD was optional.

Under the skin, the second-gen Enclave rode on the GM C1 platform, while production took place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

Of course, General Motors revealed the next-gen 2025 Buick Enclave just a few months ago. As the third-generation model, the 2025 Enclave will be underscored by a restyled exterior, overhauled interior, and reworked powertrain. The C1 architecture remains, while production will continue to take place at the Lansing Delta Township facility.

With production kicking off later this month, it won’t be long now until the all-new Enclave hits American roads. With that in mind, GM Authority spy photographers have captured several photos of the 2025 Enclave testing out in the wild.
