Refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon AT4 Caught Completely Uncovered: Photos

Earlier this year, GM Authority spy photographers captured photos of the 2025 GMC Yukon AT4 completely undisguised, giving us a good look at the revised full-size SUV before we’re supposed to see it. To little surprise, our expert photographers have done it again and caught another 2025 Yukon AT4 out in the wild with no camouflage.

This refreshed Yukon is coated in an Onyx Black (color code GBA) exterior paint job and outfitted in the off-road-inspired AT4 trim level, indicating that this particular unit sports some extra all-terrain goodies.

Starting with the exterior, we can easily spot all the details concerning the front fascia, which has been updated for the 2025 Yukon’s mid-cycle refresh to feature the new C-shaped lighting signature that integrates a stack of lights on either side of the grille. Speaking of the grille, there’s a new trim piece surrounding the GMC badge, while an AT4 logo sits in the bottom driver-side corner. Moving down, the lower front bumper is garnished in chrome, while the red recovery hooks stand out against the black plastic. Round fog lights can be found on either side, along with a low-profile front skid plate.

As for rollers, the 20-inch alloy wheels are wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires, while Yukon emblems are mounted on the front doors.

Out back lies another set of C-shaped lighting signatures and additional badging. Notably, this unit features visible quad exhaust tips, which are different from the chrome bezels seen on the Denali and Denali Ultimate models.

While it’s unknown exactly what powertrain this particular Yukon is rocking, it’s likely that the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 is delivering the motivation. Rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, the L87 is unchanged for the 2025 model year yet is notably joined by the Duramax turbodiesel 3.0L I6 LZ0. The GM 10-speed automatic transmission serves as the sole transmission offering across the board.

Unfortunately, our photographers were unable to nab any pictures of the interior in this particular example. However, back in March 2024, GM Authority covered a Yukon Denali Ultimate prototype with a horizontally oriented screen behind the steering wheel and a vertically oriented, portrait-style infotainment screen on the center stack, a layout that mirrors the GMC Sierra EV and 2024 GMC Acadia.

As a reminder, the 2025 GMC Yukon will continue to ride on the GM T1 platform, with production remaining at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

  1. Well, all I can think of is that they neutered it.

  3. There are things I like. One the front looks like the GMC SIERRA, no chrome galore, and I like the new dash. Nice job GM 👍🏼

    1. While I believe they have improved this family of SUV both mechanically and in the interior (Tahoe Z71 and AT4), I think that the front of neither is as nice as previous/current year – especially that ugly frowning clown look achieved by painting the lower grill trim outline in silver. It would look a lot better if that silver outline was painted in black to actually match the grill.

  5. The front end looks hideous. Prefer the previous models front end. Prefer the Tahoe refresh over the Yukons.

    1. Yeah, the back looks cheap as well. It’s one out here where I live in Lake Orion, it’s a CTF.
