The 2025 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing represents the fourth model year for the high-performance sedan, and a new limited-run variant has been unveiled as part of Cadillac’s ongoing Collector Series portfolio.
The 2025 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud Edition debuts as the nameplate’s latest exclusive variant, and only 50 units will be produced. The car pays homage to the 1950 Cadillac Series 61 Coupe that participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race that year, nicknamed “Petit Pataud.” It competed alongside another Cadillac race car, nicknamed “Le Monstre,” which sported a radically different body aiming to reduce weight and improve aerodynamics.
Petit Pataud was equipped with a 331 cubic-inch V8 that developed 160 horsepower, allowing the car to reach a top speed of 117 mph. The slightly lighter and more aerodynamic Le Monstre boasted the same engine and could reach 130 mph.
Despite being an unusual Le Mans entry, as participants mostly fielded sports cars, Petit Pataud finished the race in 10th place with an average speed of 81.5 mph, just ahead of Le Monstre as the latter fell to 35th after slamming into a sand bank on the second lap, but managed to climb its way back up to 11th over the course of the race.
The 2025 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud Edition features an exclusive Magnus Metal Frost paint job, a Stormhawk Blue carbon fiber package and Royal Blue brake calipers. A decal sporting the number 3 and a U.S. flag adorns the lower portion of the front doors, while the inscription Petit Pataud is found on the carbon fiber side skirt just below the rear doors.
Inside, the Petit Pataud Edition features two exclusive colorways, Jet Black/Phantom Blue and Sky Cool Gray/Phantom Blue, along with Santorini accents and blue seat belts. Laser-etched door sill plates and a unique 3D printed manual transmission shifter medallion are also part of the package.
Production of the 2025 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud Edition is planned for early 2025, and more information will be released in the coming months. The brand also revealed the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Edition, commemorating the other 1950 Le Mans race entry, of which only 101 units will be available.
The Petit Pataud Edition follows previous Collector Series cars, including the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Mondrian Editions, the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Track Editions and the introductory 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Collector Series.
As a reminder, the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is equipped with the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine cranking out 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, which can be matched to the Tremec six-speed manual transmission or the GM 10-speed automatic. The vehicle is produced exclusively with a rear-wheel drivetrain.
The GM Alpha 2 platform provides the bones for the CT4-V Blackwing, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

When can I just order a CT4 without it being a “V” ? Sure, I’d love a 6cyl. non turbo but a 2.7 turbo will do.
In Canada, I can’t get a normal CT4 or 5 V Blackwing, but now there’s an even more “limited edition.”?
This”special edition” falls right in line with the rest of the special editions that came before it. What’s special is basically an interior color and exteriors colors some special decals which is just like the other special editions.
Sorry GM that doesn’t really make the ct4/5bw that special due to some color differences. What would have made the ct4 special if you used thev8 motor for the special editions. Maybe use the 4.2 TT v8 from the ct6v and tune for more power than the current ct5bw. Limited production on those would make it special.
