Here Are GM’s 2024 Chevy Traverse Ordering Recommendations For Dealers

The 2024 Chevy Traverse debuts the crossover’s all-new third generation, which features a new exterior with truck-inspired styling, an overhauled interior, a new powerplant, and, ready to chew up the trails with rugged off-road capability, the addition of the Z71 trim level.

General Motors has now issued recommendations for 2024 Chevy Traverse ordering by dealerships, indicating the trim level mix it believes will match up best to consumer demand.

According to GM, the LT trim level is likely to be the most popular trim among auto buyers. However, it also deems the costlier Z71 and RS variants of the crossover to be quite popular as well, with almost half of purchasers projected to go for these high-end trim levels.

The full breakdown of The General’s recommendations for dealership orders is as follows:

  • LS: 15 percent
  • LT: 40 percent
  • Z71: 20 percent
  • RS: 25 percent

As uncovered in detail previously by GM Authority, pricing for the 2024 Chevy Traverse starts with a base MSRP of $38,995 for the entry-level LS trim with front-wheel drive. Notably, the LS is expected to be the least popular trim by GM’s dealer mix recommendations. The starting prices range up to $57,595 for the RS trim configured with AWD.

Pricing for what is expected to be the best-selling trim level, the LT, starts at $41,395 for a FWD unit and at $43,395 for one equipped with optional all-wheel drive. All of these prices include a destination freight charge of $1,395. The official configurator for the 2024 Traverse is currently live for the convenience of potential buyers.

As a reminder, motivation is supplied to the third-gen 2024 Chevy Traverse by a single powerplant option. This consists of the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, which develops a maximum of 328 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 326 pound-feet of torque at 3,500 rpm. FWD is standard and AWD optional on all trims except the Z71, which is configured as all-wheel drive only.

The GM C1 platform provides the bones for the crossover, while the Traverse currently rolls off the assembly line at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

  1. Recently, not more than 2 weeks ago, we went for 10 Days at UAE. In 2023 we had gone too. At Contacts with Emirates had said to Al Maktoum family to remove all Black BMW of Business Service. Well, Talking with Driver of the 2024 Lexus ES350, he confirmed indeed all BMW were resold and sent back to China. So said him, then am greatful and happy Al Maktoum attended me, much because my bad history with BMW arrogance between 1998 to 2008, doing indirect their cars. He complement, all in UAE is to be Asia Cars. Indeed our transfer from DXB to Abu Dhabi Hyatt Hotel saw only 1 BMW 1 series in white, all rest is the big Patrol, many Lexus, for example the Lexus LS430 which drove at Audi Ingolstadt, and many other Toyotas, Nissan etc. During our visit at Emirates Palace, during Bruder President Welcome in Wedding Shaking Hands, had a RR Cullinan and after a Mercedes Maybach in White, well if were a Packard Victoria 1933 in Green could have photographed. We walked 1300 m from Emirates Palace to UAE Presidential Palace, and also to Marina Mall, to Mosque the 4 Taxis we took, were all Toyota Camry. Back at Burj Khalifa, we saw 2 RR Ghost, but we hope UAE get Rid of all German and Rolls Royce Cars, mainly those produced by BMW. At Hyatt Garage had an Aston Martin, some Genessis, MG, GM Tahoe in white and others, at the 2nd floor down had a unique BMW X5. As said hope all German Cars go out of UAE. Chinese cars are really good cars, we do not need German cars anymore. Here in Hamburg we see a lot black BMW, Mercedes, Audi etc, but also hope, BYD take the front soon. It is difficult to convince the snob germans in Naziland but let’s see. Hope in North America German cars get rid off roads too Regards MK. In Brasil because the low R$ 1300 aka DHS 1300 GMB paid for me during 1995 to 1997, hope GM is out of South America too. Lets see next 5 years … Repeated this message to be surely clear !

  3. I have no doubt that the LT trim will be the one most in demand on the new Equinox as well. Problem I have with these dealer recommendations regards the Trax and Trailblazer. It’s like pulling teeth to find a trim above the base trims, because of price, and if you do, it’s a top-level trim with all the fixings. Maybe not in California, which seems to get most of the vehicles made, but on the East Coast, it’s no fun.

    1. We were lucky with our Trax. We were looking for a base LS with the LS convenience and Driver Confidence packages. We went in to test drive a 2RS that was on the lot last year just to see if we liked it. We did not like the color, the almost-black rims, or the large screen behind the steering wheel. We mentioned this to the salesperson and she came back out with an order sheet they already had on hand for an LS that was due in with both of the abovementioned packages in the Blue Glow color, which was the color we desired. So when it came in 7 months later, we were first in line to buy it, so we did.
