About GMC Sierra
For 2024, the GMC Sierra 2.7L engine is called TurboMax. That engine now gets the Hydra-Matic 8L80 M5U revised eight-speed automatic transmission.
Also, the 2024 Sierra AT4X offers the LZ0 Duramax diesel engine to provide more low-end torque while off-roading, joining the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine for available powerplants. That 6.2-liter gets a throatier exhaust note thanks to a new Active Exhaust system. Additionally, the 2024 Sierra AT4X is available with new beadlock-capable wheels along with new black and red beadlock wheel decorative rings.
Also, the 2024 Sierra 1500 offers a new drop-in bedliner and a new bed Utility Wall Package.
Pricing details for the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 show that, compared to the previous model year, the entry-level Pro trim level is now $600 more expensive. Meanwhile, the SLE, Elevation, and SLT trims are $1,100 cheaper as the 3 Years of OnStar and Connected Services Plan (RPO code R9M) is no longer included as standard, replaced with 3 Year of OnStar Remote Access (RPO code PRF). The Denali is $900 more expensive, while the Denali Ultimate is $400 more. The AT4 trim drops by $600.
Furthermore, for 2024, the AT4X and the AT4X AEV Edition equipped with the L87 engine are $1,000 cheaper due to the aforementioned OnStar connected services plan changes. Additionally, the starting price for the AT4X and AT4X AEV Edition each drops by $2,500, as the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine is now fitted as standard for the 2024 model year, whereas the more-expensive naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine used to be the exclusive powertrain offered, which is now optional.
In August 2023, the 2024 Sierra 1500 received a destination freight charge increase of $100, bringing the total to $1,995.
The GMC Sierra 1500 now offers an AT4X Spec Multimatic DSSV Shock System accessory for the 2019 model year or later Sierra 1500, with a design and tuning intended to give the truck improved off-road performance.
The online configurator tool is live for the 2024 Sierra 1500 and still live for the 2023 Sierra 1500.
Production of the 2025 GMC Sierra will begin on August 19th for both the Regular Cab and Crew Cab configurations and August 26th for the Double Cab.

Because, while industry sales are up overall, sales of grossly overpriced (and pricey) big pickups aren’t. Finally.
Also, probably fewer supply issues, the cause of prices having skyrocketed. These types of discounts used to be fairly normal before the pandemic.
High interest rate, inflation, many people out of the market now for these $60K to $90K list trucks and SUV’s. gm’s golden goose on these vehicles which have which have inlated profits and supported EV push is about to be in real trouble.
I purchased the 2024 Sierra 2500HD extended cab to pull heavier holiday trailer. The 6.6 L gas, 10 speed automatic does a fantastic job. The very small digital display and my aging eyes I’m taking my eyes off the road too long in order to read the display
I am in the market for Sierra Denali 2500 Ultimate
Why are there no discounts?? Maybe the longer I wait someone somewhere will offer a nice discount

Why does everyone want the best of everything now days?
Why not go with the SLT trim?
My 1972 Cadillac Hebmobile does not have cruise control but it will still outrun anything on the highway.
Unfortunately for you, the 25-3500’s are less likely to discount, because GM, Fjord and REAM build very close to the amount of HD’s that will sell each year. At least that’s what I found when looking for a new HD GM truck years ago.
Ith all the sales going on, what’s the status of GM Retiree discounts? Will the discounts be honored on top of Retiree discounts?
Hmm, that’s an interesting question. At the end of 2022, I struck a deal with the Chevrolet dealer that I retired from 13 years before, after working there for 37 years. They were planning to sell the High Country I ordered through them and only charge me list price, and not force me to take the add-ons the put on EVERY VEHICLE they sell.
I nearly took the deal, but another dealer 50 miles away sold me an upgrade to my order (also no discount)..But, that WAS COVID time, so who knows??
