Introducing an all-new generation for the Bow Tie brand’s midsize pickup truck, the 2023 Chevy Colorado was headlined by extensive upgrades to the exterior, interior, and powertrain over the preceding second-gen model. Another notable change over the 2022 Colorado was an updated paint color list, so today, we’re taking an in-person peek at the Colorado coated in the Harvest Bronze Metallic hue in the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.
As previously mentioned, the Harvest Bronze Metallic (color code GXN) paint color was all-new for the 2023 model year, as were four other colors for a total of eight shades available. At present, Harvest Bronze Metallic is offered on all Chevy Colorado trim levels at no extra charge, and can be combined with all interior colorways as well.
Outfitted in the mid-range model, this particular Colorado LT slots between the off-road-focused Trail Boss and Z71 trims in the Colorado model lineup. As such, this midsizer places more of an emphasis on livability, featuring goodies like a remote locking and unlocking tailgate, along with body-colored door handles, rear bumper, and front fascia.
On the inside, the Colorado LT is outfitted with the Jet Black interior colorway, an infotainment system with an 11.3-inch touchscreen and Google built-in, power express-up/down for the driver’s window, and express down for the rest of the windows. Regarding technology, the LT trim level is offered with the Safety Package, Technology Package, Convenience Package (I, II, and III), and the Advanced Trailering Package.
Under the hood, the 2023 Colorado LT was available with two distinct powerplant choices, including the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R gasoline engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, and the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine in the Turbo Plus configuration, rated at 310 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. Both engines were mated to the second-gen GM eight-speed automatic transmission as standard fare.
Under the skin, the third-gen Chevy Colorado is underpinned by an updated variant of the GMT 31XX platform, while production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

Better than the Tacoma.
I would say the new Taco is going to be the more desirable of the two once they clean up first year quality control bugs. The Taco has more bed and cab configurations the Chevy lacks, nicer and more wheels options, more interior color choices, better MPG figures and a hybrid which Chevy refuses to offer plus a lower starting price and even a manual transmission which some still like. gM is also very stingy with how these are packaged leaving out things like rear center armrests and map pockets, cruise control, telescoping wheel and numerous other cost cutting things to force you to pay way more for expensive option packages. With that said the new Tacoma is very expensive the moment you move up to the SR5 trim level on up.
That’s the color that needs to die…three weeks before yesterday. It’s atrocious in person. And nothing bronze about it. More like “Harvest Poop”.
Another horrible colour from GM.
Looks great, I love it. Love it in the new Trax, as well. Look, if ya don’t like it, there are plenty of grays and that old stand-by, Refrigerator White, to better suit your tastes.
It is gross and being so dark, is a complete waste of a color option. GM continues to offer this but kills blue, offers a nasty yellow, and old man maroon.
Not a fan of this coor or the way gM packages this truck. The wheel choices suck and are boring. There is almost zero brightwork for this trim whereas in every other model in their lineup at least some brightwork in the grille or side window trim etc. Also why are we restricted to one interior color choice on most of these? Ford, Toyota and Nissan all do a better job with many of these things so gM needs to step up its game!
