General Motors has released a new video showcasing the Cadillac Celestiq, the luxury brand’s latest all-electric flagship sedan. The video, titled “A Bespoke Journey,” runs for about one-and-a-half minutes and offers an immersive look into the personalized experience that the Celestiq promises to deliver. The first units of the Celestiq are slated for release for the 2025 model year.
The video opens with a couple approaching the Cadillac Celestiq in their driveway, with the sedan adorned in a striking shade of Habanero orange paint. The journey begins on a picturesque two-lane road winding through a dense forest. Here, the driver adjusts the opacity of the Smart Glass Roof, managing the amount of natural light entering the cabin.
As the journey continues, the driver engages the GM Super Cruise driver assist feature, demonstrating the vehicle’s advanced semi-autonomous driving capabilities. With hands off the wheel, the Celestiq smoothly navigates the road. The video also highlights the 38-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system, as well as the expansive 55-inch HD display on the dashboard.
The video then transitions to the city, where the driver accelerates down a straight road, showcasing the Celestiq’s impressive power. The onboard GM Ultium powertrain delivers 600 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque, propelling the sedan to 60 mph in less than four seconds. The couple finally arrives at their urban destination, concluding their journey.
Originally anticipated for the 2024 model year, GM Authority has confirmed that the Cadillac Celestiq will in fact be introduced as a 2025 model. Each unit is hand-built at the GM Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, emphasizing the bespoke nature of this luxury vehicle. Production will be highly exclusive, with GM Authority sources indicating an annual output of only 100 to 150 units, making each Celestiq relatively rare.
The Celestiq is built on the GM BEV3 platform and features a 111 kWh GM Ultium battery paired with dual GM Ultium Drive motors.

GM: Nobody is buying the Duramax Escalade because we don’t advertise it so lets discontinue it!
Also GM: Lets advertise for a $400,000 EV that only super rich snobs will be buying.
For 100-ish units a year, there’s no reason to advertise it. It shouldn’t even exist, TBH.
Has GM sold any of these overpriced, ugly looking (from the back) hearse mobiles? I guess the Sultan of Brunei did not order 5 of them.
Majestic!
It is not a star of anything. It is an advertisement!! Stop making ugly cars that last as long as my last haircut and well… I don’t know how you can increase sales. Change the crest? No, that didn’t work. Move to New York? No, that did not work. Make more EVs – another joke. Fire the design team and take Mary with them – that might work…
Why are they spending precious ad dollars on a car they claimed in 2022 to be sold out till 2025. If all of the planned production is reserved by customers already, what’s the point of these spots.
I just don’t understand how GM allocates advertising resources. They’ve had good products that were never promoted and were later discontinued and then they have this “sold out” product that gets ad dollars.
I hate to be negative, but this car is UGLY.
Everyone wanted to love it .
But the Emperor has no clothes.
A nerds idea of cool.
A tasteless women’s idea of glamorous.
What angers the most , is Cadillac has gorgeous prototypes, already available!
Ciel , 16, Elmirage.
The people at Cadillac years ago, understood the brand, and had class themselves.
GM never learns .
Customizing this, is like putting lipstick on a pig .
They think it’s giving then a halo car to advertise.
Well you need CARS to sell, like beautiful CT6 ( Deville- Dam it ). they failed to promote properly.
GM must like losing.
Nerds are rich
Who says ? I was referring to the designers , and not necessarily the buyers .
Nerds rarely bought Cadillacs past, or present
Cadillac Man — you just hit the nail on the head.
Thanks so much. .
You recieved one thumbs down for supporting me !
But we know what is right !
Apparently ‘ nerd ‘ was the trigger !
It’s so counterproductive for them to make this promo. If this thing has the same door chime as the rest of GMs products I’m not even entertaining it anymore. I wanted them to win so bad with this vehicle.
The Cadillac Astek.
Does ‘bespoke’ mean ‘I’ve made a financially ruinous error in judgement’? The tag line should have been “The seamless fusion of impracticality and obsolescence”. Seriously, how many of these will still be functional in a decade? It’s $400K for a disposable electronic device.
The Sell-a-stick (spelled, Celestiq) is the 6000 SUX from Robocop. Google it. They’re the same car.
I remember when status symbols used to actually at least look cool.
I’ve frequently observed that photographs don’t fully capture the essence of an object.
Take, for instance, the new Acadia I spotted on the freeway. If you’re a Highlander, Telluride, or similar, you might want to be concerned about your sales outlook. The Acadia’s appearance is impressive in a manner that photos simply can’t express.
There’s a reason Maybach doesn’t do this same kind of promotion…..
That rear is awul. Cant believe they had so much resources for this car and made that fugly rear. And overall it still looks like a flat lyriq.
The interior is great. But to make it timeless they should have used more buttons. They have missed the chance to make a very beautiful car. I doubt they will have another 300 k car in future.
And Cadillac has the most iconic rear design cues in automotive history, sans Continental Kits !
With today’s LED technology, one can just imagine what they could of done for a classic fin effect .
Then they just had to hedge with a dumb hatch back.
Oh yes , a 300.000 $ car is a grocery getter.
Celesque is a disaster.
So apparently the targeted demographic is smug, self-absorbed white men with multi-racial partners. Count me out. Not to mention that car is just plain ugly. Good luck GM.
What the hell does who a person is with have to do with anything concerning the vehicle? You indirectly told us who you are as a person.
Go get some help, sir. SMH
You need to ask GM that question, not me. Marketing executives are paid a lot of money to create specific brand identities and messages for their products. I can promise you everything in that commercial was deliberately chosen for a reason. BTW, you know nothing about me so keep your personal attacks to yourself.
So, anything you can’t afford or obtain makes the people who can bad. Oh my!
Cadillac ads of today are atrocious.
An attempt to be cool, and hip , but come across as pandering , and arrogant.
Just all wrong.
I will never understand how they think?
Best modern Ads where the Deville in early 2000s , getting catered to by everyone.
Fun , captured the essence of Cadillac prestige in a joyous way .
Another ;
the exciting , ‘ ONLY WAY TO TRAVEL IS CADILLAC STYLE ‘ in late 80s .
If Cadillac could sell as many vehicles, that ad gets views on YouTube, they would be in record breaking territory again.
They have people designing, pushing the brand who are just not getting it .
