All-New Chevy Blazer EV Officially Arrives In Brazil

After several months of local testing and having exhibited a prototype of the Chevrolet electric crossover in Brazil, General Motors has just announced that the all-new Chevy Blazer EV has officially begun to arrive in the South American country.

The automaker announced that the first batch of all-new Chevy Blazer EV units for the Brazilian market arrived on June 17th at the port of the city of Vitória, in the state of Espírito Santo in southeastern Brazil. GM South America’s own vice president was on location to welcome the vessel and personally witnessed the arrival of the first batch of Blazer EV crossovers, which will kickstart the largest transformation period in the company’s operations.

“This is a historic moment for our company, which is preparing to celebrate 100 years of operations in Brazil,” said Vice President of GM South America, Fabio Rua. “We are focused on sustainable mobility and the Chevrolet Blazer EV marks a new technological milestone among electric vehicles. Other important innovations are yet to come,” he added.

As such, GM’s Brazilian subsidiary has launched an unprecedented marketing strategy for the new Chevy Blazer EV, which it begins to communicate about from the moment it arrives on the country’s shores, preparing the ground and drawing the public’s attention to the imminent start of marketing of the vehicle in the local market. The move seeks to generate expectations for the launch and capture the interest of potential customers.

Notably, the all-new Chevy Blazer EV becomes the first all-electric vehicle based on GM’s Ultium architecture to arrive and be introduced in Brazil – Chevrolet’s current second-largest market worldwide after the United States. The Blazer EV will be positioned as a zero-emission “premium sporty” crossover with advanced design, technology and safety features that will make it stand out among rival offerings.

The all-new Chevy Blazer EV has begun to arrive and will be officially presented in the coming days in Brazil, where it is expected to be initially launched in a single configuration of the sporty RS trim. In fact, both the prototypes used in road tests and the units of the first batch of the Blazer EV that arrived in the country correspond to that trim level. The Blazer EV arrives in Brazil imported from the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.
