First announced in the Latin country during its initial reveal last November, the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq has just been confirmed for Mexico.
Cadillac took advantage of the recent official debut of the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq in the United States to reiterate that the all-electric crossover will also be available in Mexico as the entry model to its growing portfolio of EVs. General Motors’ luxury brand is looking to expand its presence globally and confirmed that the 2025 Optiq will be a key piece to that goal by selling it in “over 10 regions” around the world, including the Mexican market.
“Cadillac has always defined American luxury, and Optiq is an example of how our bold, innovative spirit is propelling us into the EV future,” said Vice President Global Cadillac, John Roth. “Over the past five years, Cadillac has welcomed approximately 1 million new customers to the family globally. Optiq will be an important gateway to attract luxury EV intenders to Cadillac as we look to offer a fully electric portfolio by the end of the decade,” he added.
The all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq is confirmed to be the brand’s third zero-emissions vehicle coming to Mexico after the Cadillac Lyriq already on sale in that country and the all-new 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, scheduled to begin local sales later this year. In fact, the new 2025 Optiq could be manufactured in the Latin country according to several unofficial reports, which claim that the model would be produced at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant.
Although the brand did not reveal any equipment details of the crossover for Mexico, the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq in that market is expected to maintain the same configuration announced in the other two countries in the region. This includes a standard Ultium Drive dual-motor AWD setup that produces 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque, along with an 85-kilowatt-hour Ultium Battery pack that offers an estimated 482 km or 300 miles of range.
The all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq will begin production in North America this fall and will go on sale later this year in the United States, followed by markets in Canada and Mexico at a date yet to be announced. Specific details on the configuration and trim levels of the new 2025 Optiq for the Mexican market will be revealed closer to the launch date.

Oh, I’m sure there are lots of charging stations down there.
Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated (take notice of the first 3 letters). If we can’t get our EV’s from China, they are coming from Mexico.
Too bad, I was really planning for this one, but in Mexico no way!
I Hope that GM brings it to Brazil, joining to the ALL new Blazer EV ( this one coming next month)….GM shall bring Cadillac, Buick and GMC soon to Brazil… It is wasting time.
