Two weeks after revealing the first images of Chevrolet’s updated midsize SUV in Brazil, General Motors has just officially introduced the 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer in the South American country.
The automaker presented the updated 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer SUV for the first time to the Brazilian public at the 2024 Agrishow – the country’s largest agricultural technology show, which is open throughout this week in the state of São Paulo. During the event, the company officially introduced the 2025 TrailBlazer SUV, announcing all features, availability and pricing details of the updated off-road utility vehicle in the Brazilian market.
“The main quality of the New Chevrolet TrailBlazer is to offer customers a car that is brutally ready for anything, with new engineering solutions that mainly raise the level of comfort and drivability,” said Product Marketing Director at GM South America, Paula Saiani. “The New TrailBlazer High Country brings unprecedented advances to the off-road SUV category,” she added.
Like the fully updated 2025 Chevy S10 pickup from which it is derived, the 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer SUV is introduced in Brazil with notable new features that include design changes, a new more technological interior with Chevrolet’s Virtual Cockpit instrument panel, a new-generation powertrain and the High Country trim level offered for the first time on the SUV. This will be the only available trim level for the seven-seat utility vehicle in the Brazilian market.
GM Brazil claims that the 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer SUV improved “spectacularly” in terms of comfort, thanks to a reworked multi-link rear suspension and a recalibration of the entire assembly geometry. It also gets a new electric steering system, new front seats with multi-density foam and additional acoustic panels that reduce noise levels for greater cabin comfort.
The updated 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer SUV is presented for the first time in Brazil during the 2024 Agrishow and will be available for sale in mid-May, when it will begin to arrive en masse at the brand’s official dealer network in the country. It’s equipped as standard with the new-generation 2.8L I4 turbodiesel Duramax engine producing 207 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque, mated to GM’s new eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer High Country’s price remains exactly the same as that of the outgoing model in now-defunct Premier trim. It’s listed at 368,550 reais, or about $71,140 USD at the current exchange rate.

Why can’t GM market a diesel powered, 4/RWD, proper SUV in America??
Because sales will be sluggish and it is already covered by the Blazer. The market that will use and need an actual SUV is pretty small. Many are bought for image, then a year or two later dropped when they realize just how bad they are compared to a CUV counterpart of the same size and they don’t actually need or use the SUVness of it.
The 4Runner which will be brought up is an anomaly, bought by the Toyota faithful and that is about it.
4-Runner, Bronco, Cherokee, maybe 4-door Wrangler. So, Toyota, Ford, and Jeep are all in the segment, while GM effectively sits on the sidelines and offers a FWD CUV. No thanks.
Bronco sales were down a fair bit in 2023 and you find plenty on dealer lots.
Cherokee was dropped from the roster as sales were dropping. And if you actually meant Gran Cherokee, their sales are dropping as well and they are not being used for off-roading.
Wrangler sales have dropped dramatically in the last couple years and Stellantis is offering huge discounts.
Adding an off-road vehicle like this would not sell over 100k units annually and would likely reduce Tahoe/Yukon sales.
Just go buy the Tahoe or Yukon if you want a vehicle like this as prices for the vehicles you listed aren’t much less.
The Blazer is a pseudo SUV. Its not even in the same league as the Wrangler, Bronco, or 4-Runner.

I really like this updated front end a lot, it represents the modern Chevrolet truck look quite well.
I do not like the back.
Agreed… the front and interior look great but it doesn’t flow well with the sides and back. It’s angular meets jellybean.
Yeah you’re right, because from the A pillar back is of an older now passe’ design language. That kind of front end deserves a modern up to date body design.
Connor the back to me looks like a Toyota the sides look flat. The interior looks nice though and GM tried a diesel equinox and terrain here a few years back sales where so bad they dropped the diesel engine. Besides if GM where to make a midsize SUV with a diesel why not just use the 3.0 baby Duramax! It’s got more power then the engine in this trailblazer anyway.
are you going to show me the back.
Side profile and rear scream early-mid 2000s Chevy. Reminds me of the old Traverse. Lack of window tint makes it look aged as well, in my opinion. Don’t think this is going to age very well. However, I will say that the front end looks great,
An updated 2.8L Diesel? Why aren’t we offering this engine in our current Colorado? I know its a narrow band in the market, but Chevy truck customers love Diesel engine options in their Chevy trucks. The 3.0L I6 Duramax Diesel in the Silverado Tahoe and Suburban is a popular choice, especially now that they cranked it up to 495 torque! Who cares if the Turbomax 2.7L gasoline motor has more peak power and torque? These people need a robust, very fuel-efficient truck that goes for miles and miles, especially off-road. Nobody else offers anything remotely like it, Ford and Ram screwed the pooch when it comes to light duty diesel trucks, buy an F-250 or Cummins they’d say. Either “baby” Duramax 2.8L Diesel I4 or 3.0L Diesel I6 would be nice options, but both would be better! Not worried about missing out on this “TrailBlazer”, though, Americans are mostly way taller and wider bodies than this little arrangement can comfortably accommodate inside of it. Consider a Tahoe or Traverse or Trailblazer or Trax instead. Perhaps even the all-new 2025 Equinox would get ‘er done?
Sales of diesels would say otherwise.
If the 3.0 I6 was pushed into this Trailblazer then it would crush the Fortuner/4runner in sales……
