This Chevy Tahoe And Suburban 22-Inch Wheel Is Available To Order Again

Per previous GM Authority coverage from November 2022, the Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban were unable to be ordered with all of their 22-inch wheel options. That being said, one of those 22-inch wheels is available on the Bow Tie brand’s two full-size SUVs once more after a two-year hiatus.

GM Authority has learned that the LPO or dealer-installed 22-inch Multi-spoke Chrome wheel (RPO code SF2) option is available to be ordered on the Tahoe and Suburban once again. The feature had been under constraint since May 2022, and was subsequently unavailable near the end of the 2022 model year, through the entire 2023 model year, and into the 2024 model year.

Offered for an extra $3,795, these wheels are available on the LS, LT, RST, Premier and High Country trim levels, but not the Z71 trim. In addition, this option can’t be ordered in conjunction with the RST Performance Edition package.

For reference, when buyers opt for these wheels, the Chevy Tahoe or Suburban in question ships from the factory on 22-inch steel transit wheels, with alignment specifications set to 22 inches. Once the dealership installs the 22-inch Multi-spoke Chrome wheels on the SUV, the transit wheels get shipped back to the factory.

As a reminder, both the current Chevy Tahoe and Suburban models are powered by one of three engine options, including the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, rated at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine, rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

Meanwhile, the GM 10-speed automatic transmission handles the shifting duties for all powerplant choices.

Under the skin, both full-size SUVs ride on variants of the GM T1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Looking forward, the 2025 Tahoe and 2025 Suburban are set to receive a mid-cycle refresh that will bring about updates to the exterior styling, interior appointment and powertrain lineup.
