Refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5: Take A Video Tour Of The Exterior And Interior Updates

Officially unveiled back in September 2023, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 is highlighted by a mid-cycle refresh that brings about notable updates to the exterior styling and interior appointments. With production of the revised luxury sedan kicking off earlier this month, GM Authority recently got a first-hand look at the 2025 CT5.

GM Authority Executive Editor Alex Luft—known around the GMA office as “The Authority”—was able to get up close and personal with the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 at the North American Auto Show. This particular model is a 550T Premium Luxury model coated in Radiant Red Tintcoat paint (color code GNT) and equipped with the Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black accents interior colorway (color code HZK).

Starting with the exterior, we can clearly spot the refreshed front fascia, which features new lighting elements with unbroken vertical lines and stacked LED headlamps in a setup similar to that found on the Cadillac CT4 and Cadillac CT6. The turn signals are oriented in a horizontal fashion and lead to a revised front grille.

Moving to the interior, the cabin is now highlighted by a curving 33-inch-diagonal LED color display with 9K resolution with a customizable user interface. Lifted from the Cadillac Lyriq, this all-new display boasts tech goodies like Google built-in with Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play, as well as OnStar, GM Super Cruise, and an available 5G Wi-Fi hotspot.

Interestingly, the display features a forward-facing Cadillac crest that can be seen from the front of the luxury sedan.

In regard to the powertrain, this 2025 CT5 is powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine, rated at 335 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. Output is routed to the rear wheels as standard via the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. AWD is optional.

Under the skin, the CT5 remains on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

  1. Nothing says luxury like giant shiny black plastic all over the front of your car.

Well at least GM can re-use those ATS headlights and GM can save another $1.75 per car and the stonks will go up another .03% and Mary will make her bonus.

    1. You forgot to call the plastic “cheap” 🙂

Regardless, the design looks good… despite the plastic bits.

    2. I know, I saw a Bentley Continental GT speed, with black plastics all over the front.

    3. Here’s my question: why don’t we make extreme performance versions of the midsize trucks with this power plant? The 2.7 is already a good option but the raptor still has more giddy up than the zr2.

    4. What would you suggest they use instead?

  2. I like it! It brings back some CTS vibe with the front end design.

  4. Hey Popeye Doyle why doesn’t Cadillac add fake chrome all over the front yeah that would look great…not! Chrome belongs on 50s and 60s cars and I really also don’t want to see all painted bumpers on jelly bean cars from the 90s and early 00s. This Cadillac looks better then the previous one great job Cadillac and GM! 👍🏼👍🏼

  5. I have a 2012 CTS with beautiful wood trim in the interior. It looks classy and rich. Why would Cadillac think plastic everywhere is okay?

    1. It’s cheaper and keeps them well . . . “competitive”? Others might think just like black wheels and black out packages, they look cool now. But I would agree wood adds warmth and of course luxury. I would pay for the upgrade package

  6. I guess the inside looks better. I’ll go have a look when the local Caddy dealer has one.

  7. Did they change the ct5 engine. I thought it was the 2.L ? This is saying the 3.0 twin turbo. Sorry reading the article makes it sound like the engine is the 3.L. But the video states available option. I wish it was the 3.L for the price. Misleading!
