Only 21 Of These 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Special Edition Cars Are Being Built

With a fire-breathing, supercharged V8 engine, impressive track performance, four-door body style, and even a standard six-speed manual transmission, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is a pretty special vehicle as is. Nevertheless, GM has decided to take things a step further with this – the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing 20th Anniversary Edition. Offered as a tribute to the V-Series’ 20-year anniversary, just 21 units will be made, commemorating the two-decade milestone between 2004 to 2024. Each example will be hand-built, commanding a hefty premium to boot.

A special edition variant of the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is built.

Each of these 21 hand-built CT5-V Blackwing models offers a fair amount of customization. Owners can choose between 20 unique exterior paint colors, each meticulously hand-painted at the Milford Proving Ground, taking approximately 200 hours per vehicle. Following this, the cars undergo another 250 to 300 hours of work at the Artisan Innovation Center, located within the Warren Tech Center in Michigan, where they are assembled and quality-checked by GM’s team of specialists. Notably, assembly of these limited-run CT5-V Blackwings is already under way, and in fact, only a few examples remain to be built.

Buyers also have the opportunity to select their preferred interior color, wheel design, wheel caps, and brake caliper color. Additionally, they can opt for the Carbon Fiber 1 Package, Carbon Fiber 2 Package, or no carbon fiber package. For an extra $7,120, customers can align their vehicle with a specific year between 2004 and 2024, adding a personalized touch that ties the car’s VIN, serialization plate, and builder plaque to a commemorative year.

Of course, all this exclusivity doesn’t come cheap. Pricing for just the CT5-V Blackwing 20th Anniversary Edition Package (RPO code ZLT) starts at $36,000, and that’s before all the other options mentioned above – not to mention the cost of the car.

As a reminder, the CT5-V Blackwing cradles the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, delivering 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. All CT5 variants ride on the GM Alpha 2 platform. The refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing was unveiled earlier this year.

  1. If GM really uses the Warren Artisan Innovation Center as a Cadillac customer custom build center for ICE vehicles instead of the high priced Handbuilt EV they are doing there. I think GM could be on to something with high interest for factory backed limited builds with Cadillac.
