The world of automotive customization can yield some truly bizarre pairings. However, if done right, a good mashup just works. This LT4-powered ‘60s-era Rolls-Royce is a good example of that, as highlighted by Jay Leno in this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage.
In the video, we see Jay Leno get behind the wheel of the Ringbrothers radically reimagined 1961 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II, aptly named “Paramount.” Previously making an appearance at SEMA in 2023, this vehicle offers up classic luxury with a high-performance twist, courtesy of the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 engine, the same powerplant found under the hood of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. Coupled with a Bowler Tru-Street 10-speed automatic transmission, the prodigious output is delivered to eye-widening effect, all while retaining the classic Rolls-Royce aesthetic.
Ringbrothers, also known for inventive custom builds like the Strode 1969 Chevy Camaro and 1948 Cadillac Madam V, took this challenge head-on. The builders retained the original bodywork, while painting it in BASF Glasurit “White as Fluff.” The chassis is a custom Roadster Shop RideLine Stage 3 setup, ensuring modern handling, while a Fox RS SV coilover suspension system and Baer Pro+ six-piston braking system with 15-inch rotors provide responsive agility and stopping power.
The interior shows impressive customization, featuring Gabe’s Custom Interiors’ blood-red leather. The upholstery seamlessly blends the retro spirit with modern luxury, evident in the hydro-dipped carbon fiber dashboard and Dakota Digital gauges. The ‘57 Chevy front bench seat adds a unique touch, complemented by an LED-embedded headliner and traditional wood accents.
Underneath the regal facade lies the heart of the machine – the supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8, which sings to the tune of 640 horsepower and 635 pound-feet of torque. With a custom QA1 carbon fiber driveshaft connecting the Bowler transmission to the Strange Engineering Ford 9-inch rear end, “Paramount” accelerates confidently, leaving behind its conservative past.
This Ringbrothers build celebrates the contrast between classic luxury and high-performance modernity. As Jay Leno took “Paramount” for a drive, he witnessed firsthand the dedication and innovation poured into this creation, acknowledging that it is unlike anything else on the road.

You can tell that Jay’s heart is with His Wife, not cars…
