Holden Commodore Wagon Attempts U-Turn, Gets Nailed By Truck: Video

Looking both ways before crossing the road is important no matter if you’re on foot, or you’re behind the wheel. Unfortunately, it appears as though the driver in this Holden Commodore wagon forgot that all-important lesson. As seen in the following viral video, the Holden gets smashed after attempting a U-turn on a two-lane road after the driver pulls out directly in front of a large truck.

A Holden Commodore stopped on the side of the road.

The viral video appears as though it was captured by a dash cam mounted on the truck involved in the incident, providing a clear perspective of the impact. The video starts innocently enough, with seemingly tranquil traffic conditions on a relatively quiet two-lane road bathed in midday sunlight. The video appears to show good visibility and road conditions at the time of the incident.

As the video gets underway, we see a Holden Commodore Wagon parked on the road shoulder. As the truck approaches, the driver at the helm of the Holden unexpectedly pulls out, attempting a U-turn across the lane. This sudden action leaves insufficient time for the truck driver to react, and the end result is exactly what you would expect.

The Holden’s rear end is violently struck by the truck, resulting in significant damage. The impact is forceful enough to shatter the Holden’s side glass and dislodge the truck’s dash cam, hinting at the severity of the collision. The abrupt end to the clip leaves the condition of the occupants uncertain, though the nature of the crash suggests potential injuries could be involved.

This incident likely resulted from a critical misjudgment by the Holden driver, who either failed to notice the oncoming truck or grossly underestimated its speed and distance. It’s also possible the Holden Commodore driver simply didn’t see the truck behind a blind spot. Regardless, such maneuvers, especially U-turns on high-speed roads, are not a good idea in general.

  1. I know Australia exported Holden Commodores overseas, this video shows vehicles driving in a left hand drive country, obviously not filmed in Australia.
