The 2025 Buick Envision will be the first model year following the launch of the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision and the fifth model year following the debut of the crossover’s re-engineered and redesigned second generation in 2021. It is expected to include only a handful of minor updates and changes.
Now, GM Authority has learned when the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2025 Buick Envision is scheduled, though, as usual, the date is tentative and subject to change in the interim.
Regular production of the 2025 Buick Envision is set to kick off on Monday, August 5th, 2024. Ironically, the refreshed 2024 Envision is not currently available at dealerships in the U.S. or Canada but is expected to launch this summer. Therefore, the 2024 model year will appear in Buick showrooms at nearly the same time the 2025 model year begins rolling off the assembly line.
Pricing for the 2024 Buick Envision starts at $37,295 for the entry-level Preferred trim and ranges up to a starting MSRP of $48,395 for the range-topping Avenir trim. A $1,395 destination freight charge or DFC is included in these prices. Several packages and extra-charge paint options are also offered for the refreshed Envision.
The Envision’s cockpit is centered on an all-new 30-inch diagonal infotainment screen, which can be customized for multiple functions and includes Google Assistant along with numerous useful apps. The compact crossover’s suite of safety features includes Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicycle Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, and others.
Meanwhile, under the hood, the 2024 Buick Envision cradles a single powerplant choice, which will also carry over to the 2025 Buick Envision. This turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine is rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. AWD is standard across all three trim levels, with the GM nine-speed automatic transmission handling cog swaps.
The Buick Envision is underpinned by the GM E2 platform, with production taking place at the GM China SAIC-GM Jinqiao South plant.

They should have kept the ’23 design into ’24 and then launched the new one as a ’25. Asinine.
A step back on the terrible front end and another step down with the cheap black exterior trim and wheels. Thankfully they make a normal better looking base and Avenir version. The base price from 2023 to 2024 is nearly 4K higher so I would assume a bunch more std equipment was added?
Mostly a bunch more profit. The actual cost to the manufacturer for features is remarkably cheap. Hence the pressure to produce feature loaded (and profit loaded) products.
Built in China for export here.
Not a fan at all
Need politicians to tariff and tax all Chinese built products, Cell phones too
Just because Buick has a foothold in that market doesn’t mean US consumers need to enrich a communist country bent on cheating everyone and bending to its knee
Love the Red, White and Blue Buick emblems when made in China and South Korea. Game changer.
Well to be fair, South Koreas flag colors are also Red, White, and Blue.
And for further fairness, they both build better Buicks.
I love my 2023 Envision ST so far. First Buick suv I have owned. Had 3 LaCrosse in the past which I really liked. Not happy the Envision was made in China. Wish they would bring the manufacture back to US.

Gregorian calendar or the Chinese calendar? It sure makes sense?
Why is everyone so mad at China? These products would still be manufactured in the states if everyone bought them, but they were not, so they are not. It’s pretty simple. There are still Buick name plates that were discontinued here but are still sold in China. You will never guess why? That’s right…. because no one here was buying them. Crazy concept; right?
People need to get passed the “Buick is a grandpa car” image. That is not at all the case anymore. Toyota Camrys and Corollas are grandpa cars today. I think there will always be a market for attainable luxury cars. And it shows as Buick is currently selling more than Acura, Infiniti, and Volvo.
As for the Envision, yeah I am not happy about that “Made in China” either. It wouldn’t necessarily be a dealbreaker for me (as atleast the profits are still going to Detroit rather than China like if I bought a Geely owned Volvo or worse, a CCP member run BYD). But being the model sells in vastly more numbers there than here there simply isn’t any incentive to build it here unless it vastly becomes more popular. So for GM it makes business sense even though we hate the idea. What I will never understand though, is Lincoln with the new Nautilus. As far as I know, Lincoln does not have the same success as Buick and Cadillac in China for them to warrant building that car there over the USMCA countries.
This makes no sense. Launching the 2024 and 2025 in US Dealerships at the same time! Just forget the 2024 and go to all 2025. Maybe, Buick will give big discounts to move the 2024. Does anybody in Buick marketing have a brain?
I for one and very happy about it!! I’ve been waiting and waiting for the new model but hate waiting even longer for good rebates so this bodes well for me getting a 2024 as early as Sept 1 for a good deal.
I don’t know why but in my head this sort of looks like what the Lamborghini Urus but less busy, more clean.
When is the order date for the 2025 Enclave?
The automotive industry is Global. Manufacturers assemble cars where economies of scale make it feasible, not based on nationalistic objectives. After GM dropped the LaCrosse from the Buick lineup. only one Buick was assembled in the USA. The Enclave was and is still assembled in Lansing Michigan USA. The rest:
Encore – South Korea Regal – Germany Cascada – Poland Envision – China
I like the looks on the 2nd gen Envision but I like the 1st gen Envision more. I felt like the older model was more loaded than this newer one. I remember you could even get it with 3-zone climate controls.
The Envision has a 27.5% tariff applied to it. In Canada, the 2024 Avenir is the equivalent of $39k USD and competes in the same price range as a top trim Honda CR-V or base Lexus NX250.
