General Motors unveiled the all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox in January, ushering in the fourth generation for the popular compact SUV. The 2025 Equinox introduces fresh styling cues, more advanced safety features, a new trim level, and significant cabin upgrades with larger screens. Now, GM Authority is highlighting pricing information for the 2025 Chevy Equinox, including optional equipment and packages.
The 2025 Chevy Equinox offers a total of three trim levels, including the entry-level LT, followed by the new-for-2025 and outdoorsy Activ, and finally, the sporty RS. Front-wheel drive is standard across the line, while all-wheel drive is optional. The starting MSRPs for the various trim levels and configurations are as follows:
LT Trim:
- FWD: $29,995
- AWD: $31,995
Activ Trim:
- FWD: $34,395
- AWD: $36,395
RS Trim:
- FWD: $34,395
- AWD: $36,395
Each trim offers a range of both factory and dealer-installed options to enhance functionality and comfort. Noteworthy options include the Convenience Package II (RPO code ZQ3), which is priced at either $2,050 or $2,200 depending on whether or not a sunroof is included. There’s also the Power Panoramic Sunroof (RPO code CAJ), which is $1,495 across all trim levels.
The Safety and Technology Package (RPO code CWN) is another standout feature, priced at $1,085 for all trims, while the Midnight Edition Package (RPO code WN5) adds unique styling elements for $895 to $1,045, depending on if it is ordered with a sunroof.
For those looking to personalize their Equinox further, the vehicle can be outfitted with premium paint options like Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (paint code G1W) for an additional $995, or Radiant Red Tintcoat (paint code GNT) for $495. Standard color options include Summit White (paint code GAZ) and Mosaic Black Metallic (paint code GB8), among others.
Under the hood, the 2025 Equinox is powered by the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine. The four-cylinder is linked to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for front-wheel drive models and the GM eight-speed automatic transmission for all-wheel drive variants.

Anyone know what the 20″ wheel will look like? and will there be employee price discount? Thanks
No idea on the 20” wheels but employee discount is available. I just ordered mine.
I was not able to order the 20″ wheels from my dealer, they told me they were not available. were you able to order from your dealer??
Ok. But, what’s in those packages?
I wonder what is in those convenience packages? Note that the 2024 made the convenience package standard with the leather wheels, power tailgate, remote start and auto climate controls to name a few. I’ll bet some or most of that was deleted as std equipment in place of the new added safety features but we will see.
So even the base front drive model with a couple options can easily tick $35,000 on up. Wow. More non-painted ugly plastic all over and a higher price. Sounds like a not win-win to me. But I’m sure the mall crawlers will scoop these up fast even with the dealers probably adding BS to the price. I’m guessing between a couple options, AWD and a dealer “package” added on, most will be spending 40 grand and higher for one.
Huge pass.
And despite your hate for any CUV, the Equinox will sell 3-4 times more units annually than a Malibu and the profit per unit of the Equinox will substantially exceed a similar Malibu.
Sadly you can’t comprehend those numbers and will continue to complain endlessly that GM doesn’t make more sedans.
Ok GMC Fan. First, did I say anything in my comment about the Malibu? No. Second, tell me that you actually think this new Equinox will be worth 35 grand and more. Please, let us know how you feel it’s a good value? You can’t because it’s not.
But since you brought up the Malibu: What do you think would happen if 1. GM actually promoted the Malibu like they do the Equinox? 2. Dealers actually stocked them in the same numbers at the Equinox? And 3. If every time an advertisement for Chevy came on, the Malibu was highlighted? This is a rhetorical question, so you don’t need to answer. I already know what would happen. The Malibu sales would be neck and neck with the Equinox. But when people don’t even know it exists due to GM doing nothing but pushing the heck out of SUV/CUV’s and trucks, what would you expect. And yet, the only models within Chevy that outsell the Malibu is the Equinox and Silverado.
It’s worth what people will pay and they’ll pay what the sticker says so yes, it’s worth $35K as the current average new car sale price is $48K. If Chevy stocked the Malibu in the same number as the Equinox, they would sell just as many Malibus as they do now because people are buying CUVs/SUVs since they sell 2 to 1 comparatively with no sign of slowing down and in fact, CUV/SUV sales are rising to nearly 78% of the market when compared to sedans. People know sedans exist. If people had to rely on advertisements for everything they bought, we wouldn’t have TV shows it would 24/7 advertisements. People skip over ads, they don’t like being sold to. If they go to a dealership to buy something, they see the cars….and walk right past.
Wrong AhodieVW: In 2023 there were about 4 million sedans (cars as 4 Dr, 2 Dr, hatch and convertible) sold in the US. Yup, you are correct. People are obviously not buying cars now are they? They just walk right past all 4 million of them.
Advertising; Why advertise your best selling vehicle (trucks)? Why promote and advertise the heck out of these CUV and SUV’s if they are selling so well? The reason they are selling so well is because it’s all GM advertises. And look at the Malibu sales with zero promotion or adv. You comment is so BS it smells through my computer.
Ok, so 4 million cars sold. That doesn’t disprove anything. Both can be right. CUV’s ARE outselling sedans 2 to 1 and it’s increasing. Sure, GM was stupid to let the Impala and Malibu wither, I agree with that, but they aren’t buying Malibus like they’re buying Equinoxes and Trax and Traverses. No amount of advertising is going to fix that. Don’t like my opinion? Cool. No need to be combative tool about it.
It’ll sell like crazy. Equinox is one of Chevy’s best selling vehicles.
And so it the Malibu. With zero help from marketing. And yet the Equinox gets all kinds of marketing thrown at it. Funny how that works.
Why are the packages WITH the sunroof less expensive than the packages WITHOUT the sunroof?
Bob: It’s because if you take that leaking hole in the roof for the $1,500.00, they then discount that other package some. It’s to entice buyers to take the sunroof and click their way to that 40 grand Equinox. It’s all about the ATP.
Did they start producing it last Monday the 17th?
I’m happy to see that the Equinox FINALLY got updated but, I bought a 2024 RAV4 instead. Sits nice next to my Camaro.
Just placed my order!
love these cars
They think they’re so clever with that $29995 price. The ’24 LT was $30,840 with destination and included a good deal of the content in the Convenience Package II on the ’25. So, apples to apples equates to $32,195 vs. $30,840. And that $30,840 had $6-8K in dealer/GM discounts, which the new one won’t. So, don’t go thinking that GM is being kind and generous.
A few things about the ’25 will irritate me to no end. SIX airbags? In this day and age? The CVT and crappy engine. The big increase in width and a decrease in cargo capacity. Still missing safety nannies found on some of the competition. It’s a decent effort, but as MT would say in its COTY competitions, “it doesn’t move the market in any way”.
I placed my order for the RS AWD radiant red tint coat, production date for my build is 7/8
