GMC’s latest automotive products shine on the big screen in the new movie The Fall Guy, starring Ryan Gosling. A fresh 30-second trailer was recently released on the GMC YouTube channel showcasing a montage of high-octane stunts, prominently featuring several GMC models that are integral to the film’s action sequences. Among the vehicles featured are the Sierra 1500 and all-electric Hummer EV.
In the trailer, Ryan Gosling, portraying the character Colt Seavers, is seen performing daring stunts using several modern GMC vehicles. The Sierra AT4X is seen throughout the trailer, including one standout moment where Gosling executes a spectacular jump over a flower-lined wall. The Sierra is outfitted with aesthetic upgrades that give a nod to the pickup from the original The Fall Guy television series, showing off a sand-colored paint scheme along with a sport bar and auxiliary lights.
The Hummer EV Pickup also makes a notable appearance, equipped with a camera crane for cinematic purposes. Gosling is seen leaping onto the crane at speed as explosions go off around him. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Gosling has been associated with the Hummer EV; he also starred alongside the all-electric truck in last-year’s Barbie movie.
The Fall Guy movie draws inspiration from the 1980s TV series of the same name, which also featured Big Red’s trucks in its stunt sequences, specifically a third-generation C/K Sierra (another vehicle featured in the new trailer). The film follows Colt Seavers, a veteran Hollywood stuntman who is forced to use his skills off-set in a search to locate a missing movie star. Directed by Seavers’ ex-girlfriend, Jody Moreno (played by Emily Blunt), Seavers must save the day and win back his girlfriend.
Fans of the original show and auto enthusiasts alike can can see The Fall Guy in theaters now.
