Costco Members Get $1,000 Discount On Cadillac Lyriq Through July 2024

Costco members who have been hankering for some brand-new electrified transport now have the opportunity to benefit from their membership by receiving a $1,000 discount on the purchase of either a 2023 Cadillac Lyriq or a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq.

The discount became available on May 1st, 2024, and is scheduled to continue until midnight on July 31st, 2024. As part of the Costco Spring hybrid vehicle and EV savings program, the price cut is available to anyone who had a Costco membership on April 30th.

Interested buyers will also need to register via telephone or website with the Costco Auto Program. The big-box warehouse club retailer is offering discounts on four vehicle brands simultaneously for Spring and early Summer 2024 for the first time in its history, including Cadillac, Chevrolet, Polestar, and Volvo.

Costco already offered discounts on the Cadillac Lyriq during January and February of this year along with a selection of other Cadillac models. The popularity of the Lyriq in that program, with the all-electric crossover accounting for 30 percent of the resulting purchases, encouraged Costco to offer a discount on the vehicle again in its latest promotion.

It also noted that “the Lyriq topped multiple categories within Costco Auto Program, including premium midsize electric SUV, Cadillac and battery-electric vehicle requests.”

Once a buyer registers with the Costco Auto Program they will receive a certificate and unique identifying code that can be taken to a Cadillac dealership to get the discount. The $1,000 discount can be used for either the purchase or lease of a Cadillac Lyriq from the 2023 or 2024 model years. The discount stacks with most other available incentives. Notably, the 2024 Lyriq once again qualifies for the $7,500 tax incentive.

As a reminder, a single motor mounted on the rear axle motivates the 2024 Lyriq RWD, providing 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the twin electric motors of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq AWD develop a combined 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. For range, the RWD version offers 314 miles per charge, while the AWD variant gets 307 miles per charge. Both models feature GM Ultium battery and GM Ultium Drive motor technologies.

The Cadillac Lyriq is underpinned by the GM BEV3 platform, while production of the 2024 model year began at the GM Spring Hill plant in May 2023.

  1. So, you’re trying to raise your brand and you choose Costco for a co-promotion? Does Bentley have a deal with Wal Mart? Unbelievable, they have completely thrown in the towel on being an aspirational brand. This wouldn’t pass a middle school marketing discussion.

    1. I guess you are unaware, Costco is NOT walmart. Tends to be an upscale crowd. I regularly see deals on Audi, Polestar, Volvo, Benz just to name a few. I think it is actually a dealer program more so than a manufacturer one. If I remember right, you send Costco what brand you want and they send your details to a participating dealer. I found I could haggle better than the pre-arranged discount though. If you don’t like to play the game, probably a better way to go.
