Chevy Trucks Show Off Advanced Camera Tech In New Video

Chevrolet has released a new 30-second video highlighting the advanced camera technology available across its lineup of pickup trucks. The video, titled “Open My Eyes,” features the Chevy Silverado HD, Chevy Silverado 1500, and Chevy Colorado, all while showcasing how the onboard camera systems enhance safety and convenience for drivers. As seen in the video, the camera systems are particularly useful when towing and off-roading.

In the video, we see how various Chevrolet truck owners leverage the sophisticated camera technology to gain multiple views around their vehicles. One notable feature is the ability to see behind the truck, providing a clear view of the trailer and aiding in safer towing. Additionally, the cameras offer under-vehicle views to help drivers spot obstacles while off-roading. Other practical uses highlighted include backing up to align with a trailer hitch and providing a rear trailer view to monitor what’s behind the trailer. The system also aids in parking by offering comprehensive views around and behind the truck, making maneuvering in tight spaces easier.

Chevrolet’s truck lineup offers up to eight available cameras, providing as many as 14 unique views, depending on the model. This extensive camera coverage enhances the driving experience, offering peace of mind and precision in various driving scenarios.

As GM Authority has exclusively covered, a new Connected Cameras feature in the refreshed 2025 Tahoe and 2025 Suburban full-size SUVs will allow users to stream camera views directly to their smartphones. While it has yet to be confirmed if this feature will be extended to Chevy’s pickup line, its inclusion would undoubtedly be a welcome addition.

Either way, check out the video below for a brief rundown on the advanced camera tech available now in the current Chevy truck lineup:
