Chevy Truck Driver Rams Motorcycle Rider Fleeing With Stolen Handbag: Video

Motorcycles are impressive machines, offering eye-widening power-to-weight ratios and huge performance potential. However, in some scenarios, having four wheels is simply better than two. That much is obvious in a recent viral video capturing a Chevy truck driver playing vigilante as they stop a motorcycle rider from fleeing with a stolen handbag.

A motorcyclist steals a handbag, moments before they're hit by a Chevy truck over and over.

The dramatic incident was caught on video, showing the moment a Chevy truck driver decided to take justice into their own hands. The footage, likely captured in Ecuador given the Chevy truck that was involved, begins with a motorcyclist dismounting at a sidewalk, after which they approach a pedestrian pretending to reach for a weapon. The pedestrian knows what’s happening and tries to run, but the motorcyclist forcefully grabs the pedestrian’s handbag, causing the pedestrian to trip and fall.

The perpetrator quickly runs back to the motorcycle in an attempt to flee. However, it’s at that very moment that a white Chevy D-Max pulls up.

As the motorcyclist is about to rocket away, the Chevy truck driver intervenes by forcefully ramming into the motorcycle, thwarting the escape attempt. The motorcyclist tries repeatedly to recover and flee, but every time, the Chevy truck driver continues to use their vehicle to prevent the getaway, backing up and pushing the motorcycle back down, over and over again.

The act of vigilante justice is certainly satisfying to see, although it’s definitely a dangerous move on the part of the Chevy truck driver. If the motorcyclist had a weapon, their four-wheeled advantage likely wouldn’t mean much.

Nevertheless, the video highlights the durability of the Chevy D-Max in a high-intensity scenario. Even though the motorcycle was rammed multiple times, it looks like there’s relatively minimal damage to the truck. The same can’t be said of the bike – or its rider, for that matter.

  1. Awesome. The only thing missing is a token to remember that bad decision by, like a broken leg or a hot exhaust pipe on that exposed calf, something like that. 🤣

  3. In California the Chevy driver would have been charged with vehicular assault and the perp would have made paid appearances on daily talk shows to tell America of his “troubled childhood” .

  5. In Brazil, attempted murder by ramming your car against a motorcyclist is praised as a heroic act. Just imagine if that happened in the US.

    1. In the US, this was in Ecuador. Not sure what the law is there. But kudos to the guy. I’m sure the person who almost lost the bag was pretty happy. Although recently in the US I saw a case where a thief robbed and small restaurant and beat up the owner. Several people came to the rescue of the owner and beat up the perps. No charges were filed against the people. Perps got away, but they are wanted for robbery and assault.
