About Chevrolet Silverado 1500
For 2024, changes and updates include the Chevy Silverado 2.7L engine being named “TurboMax.” That engine now gets the Hydra-Matic 8L80 M5U revised eight-speed automatic transmission.
Also, the 2024 Silverado ZR2 offers the LZ0 Duramax diesel engine to provide more low-end torque while off-roading, joining the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine for available powerplants. That 6.2-liter will sound meaner thanks to a new Active Exhaust system. The 2024 Silverado ZR2 is also available with new beadlock-capable wheels and new black and red beadlock wheel decorative rings.
Meanwhile, the 2024 Silverado High Country will be available with the Midnight Edition Package. All 2024 Silverado 1500 offer a new drop-in bedliner and a new bed Utility Wall Package.
Here’s everything new and different with the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500.
Pricing details for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 show that, compared to the previous model year, WT trims are now $500 more expensive, High Country trims are now $600 more expensive, and ZR2 and ZR2 Bison prices are down $1,600. The price drop for ZR2 and ZR2 Bison models is because the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine is now fitted as standard, whereas the more expensive naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine used to be the exclusive powertrain offered, which is now optional.
In August, the 2024 Silverado 1500 received a $100 destination freight charge increase, bringing the total to $1,995.
The Chevy Silverado 1500 now offers a ZR2 Spec Multimatic DSSV Shock System accessory for the 2019 model year or later Silverado 1500, with a design and tuning intended to provide the truck with improved off-road performance.
Currently, the fastest-turning Chevy Silverado trim levels include the Custom Trail Boss, LT Trail Boss, and ZR2. The ZR2 Bison Edition is in the mix as a fast-turning model, as it’s a package on the all-terrain-focused Silverado ZR2.
The online configurator tool is live for the 2024 Silverado and still live for the 2023 Silverado.
Production of the 2025 Chevy Silverado will begin on August 19th for both the Regular Cab and Crew Cab configurations and August 26th for the Double Cab.

Click bait title again. The $10,500 discount is for 2023 models. How many are remaining? $5750 for 2024’s with select configurations or specific markets. Golden geese market showing issues with over priced MSRP, higher interest rates, previous buyers upside down on “had to have it even over MSRP”, etc.
And so it begins….the summer months are going to be full of defaulted payments, repos, and discounts. GM hasn’t done enough for me to get rid of my 2018 Denali with a tuned 6.2L
Bring on the new Small Block V8’s with more HP/TQ, huge discounts, then I might look
I like that truck I want it
“no monthly payments for 90 days”
Always 🙄 when I see that. If someone can’t afford a payment today they probably can’t afford them in 90 days.
Had a relative get caught in a “90 days same as cash!”, and couldn’t register that “same as cash” is NOT cash. That person (barely) managed out of it avoiding a repo or bankruptcy, but wasn’t much fun.
Lots are overflowing with trucks. We will continue to see better incentives.
I looked recently and the majority of available trucks are 4 bangers or super expensive models.
They are going to be stuck with the 4 cylinders, can’t see a resale value holing up on a 4 cylinder!
