2025 Corvette Won’t Offer These Seven Paint Colors

While the highlight of the 2025 Corvette is the debut of the high-performance Corvette ZR1, the new model year will also bring about select changes and updates for the entire Corvette C8 lineup. With that in mind, the 2025 Corvette will lose a number of paint colors.

GM Authority has learned that there are seven paint colors that will soon be built out for the 2024 Corvette. As such, it’s currently unclear – yet highly unlikely – that the following shades will return for the 2025 Chevy Corvette (relevant color code in parenthesis):

We already knew that Accelerate Yellow and Amplify Orange were going away as the 2025 Corvette is set to introduce three new paint colors. However, it appears as though the 2025 Corvette will feature a smaller, 10-color palette moving forward. For reference, the 2024 Corvette offers four grey hues and two black hues to choose from, so reducing that count down to one each likely serves to make paint-related decisions easier.

As a reminder, the current 2024 Corvette is available in one of three flavors, including the C8 Stingray and its naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, rated at 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque in standard form, the C8 Z06 and its naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine, rated at 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and finally the C8 E-Ray and its combination of the aforementioned LT2 engine and a front-mounted electric motor developing a total of 655 horsepower.

Looking forward, it’s expected that the C8 ZR1 will feature a turbocharged variant of the 5.5L LT6 engine.

  1. Best thing about shopping for a corvette is the many colors for exteriors and Interiors to choose from. GM added 3 new exterior colors but axed 7, sad for the consumer. I wonder if they’re going to limit interior colors too.

  2. I bet that washed out cacti green is near the bottom in 2024 model sales. Corvette needs a real, vibrant, dark green like British Racing Green or another shade from the past.

  4. Black Rose was one of the best colors Corvette ever had.

  5. I understand about deleting some of the colors that are kind of being duplicates.
But I also think that it would be great if GM increased the number of different colors available.
Like Greenwood Green , something along the lines of Black Rose and a really bright silver like Lexus had on the LC500 a few years back and maybe a really good Gold.
It would also be nice to have an option for doing a color match like Porsche does.
It would be pricey but when a lot of these C8’s are pushing over $100,000 it would seem to make sense.
    Just my 2 cents worth.

    1. Agreed, Keith. Bowling Green Assembly put in a multi-million dollar paint shop before the launch of C8. I can’t imagine why they can’t handle a minimum of 15 colors, 15 DIFFERENT colors, that is!! I understand and agree with eliminating multiple black or gray tones. I had the same thought on offering custom paint choices, too. Especially with Z06/ZR1 models. These cars play in the space of Porsche and many others, as you point out. I built a loaded Z06 convertible last week on the configurator. It was $187K!! And GM is minting money on every one the sell. Obviously, customers have the money to pay for custom features, colors, accessories, etc. Make it happen, GM!!

  6. They need to have a more vibrant green, like past Corvettes.

  7. I agree – the green that I would vote for would be the “Brands Hatch Green”
I had a 1971 T-Top and that color green was great … They even had it on the cover car of the brochure !!!
Does anyone even remember what a brochure is anymore ???
I miss brochures … So much better than the computer for many things..
