The 2025 Chevy Silverado HD follows the refreshed 2024 model year with a few important updates and changes, including the new Chevy Silverado HD Trail Boss package, as well as expanded tech features and availability. The 2025 model year also brings with it new exterior paint options. Now, GM Authority is diving into the paint changes in place with the launch of the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD.
The 2025 Chevy Silverado HD bids farewell to two colors introduced for the previous model year. The two exterior colors set to be deleted include Auburn Metallic (paint code G48) and Dark Ash Metallic (paint code G6M), both of which were added for 2024. In their stead, the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD will offer a new hue dubbed Cypress Gray (paint code GBD).
In addition to a revised exterior paint options list, the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD also rolls out significant technical enhancements and other updates. Among these is the introduction of the Silverado HD Trail Boss package, a rugged upgrade designed for enhanced off-road capability. This package, available in LT and LTZ trim levels, includes Z71 shocks and distinct 20-inch black wheels fitted with off-road tires. Aesthetic modifications include unique badging, red recovery hooks, and blacked-out bumpers.
The 2025 Silverado HD further diversifies its technology suite with the addition of Adaptive Cruise Control as standard on the High Country trim, as well as expanded the availability of Front and Rear Park Assist across several trims.
Under the hood, the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD offers the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine and 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine. Production of the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD is slated to begin on July 29th, 2024 at the GM Flint plant in Michigan and the GM Oshawa plant in Canada.
