The ICE-based 2025 Chevy Blazer will discontinue three exterior paint colors previously offered for the 2024 model year. In their stead, the 2025 model year will debut one new exterior paint option. It was previously uncertain if the 2025 Chevy Blazer would even be offered in North America, but GM Authority has since confirmed that the ICE-based crossover will indeed by available in the North American market for the 2025 model year.
The three exterior paint colors set to be dropped from the ICE-based Chevy Blazer lineup with the launch of the 2025 model year include Copper Bronze Metallic (paint code GLY), Nitro Yellow Metallic (paint code GCP), and Red Hot (paint code G7C). Copper Bronze Metallic was introduced for the 2023 model year, Nitro Yellow Metallic for 2022, and Red Hot has been offered since the 2019 model year when the current Blazer generation was launched.
In place of these discontinued colors, the 2025 Chevy Blazer will introduce a vibrant new paint option dubbed Habanero Orange (paint code GAG). This new color promises to bring a bold, eye-catching presence to the Blazer lineup, as seen else where in Chevy’s vehicle portfolio, such as the Chevy Silverado EV.
Despite some initial uncertainty, GM Authority has confirmed that the 2025 Chevy Blazer will indeed be offered in North America. Production will continue at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico, where it will share the assembly line with the Chevy Blazer EV. This facility, which is transitioning towards full-time EV production, will still accommodate the gasoline-powered Blazer for the foreseeable future.
The 2025 Chevy Blazer will maintain its current powertrain options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission, with front-wheel drive (FWD) as standard and all-wheel drive (AWD) as an option. The 2025 Blazer will also continue to ride on the GM C1 platform
Production of the 2025 Chevy Blazer is set to kick off on July 8th, 2024, although this date is tentative and may be subject to change.

Nitro Yellow was hideous on something this large. Good riddance.
Red hot was popular. This is a mistake. The other two colors were not popular. A sporty.suv
should have a bright red color. Deal breaker.
I think White, Black, Light Gray, Medium Gray, Dark Gray, and A Primer Blue is what GM wants us to buy.
Throw in the Cactus Green and GM has won the Chicken Dinner!
Habenero with paint code “GAG” makes my day. Loved Red Hot color.
My wife loves her red hot red RS Blazer and I do too. I have a C7 corvette that is torch red. When we park next to each other they look like the same color. Corvettes have been using Torch red since the late 80’s. We can’t understand why Chevrolet would want to discontinue red hot red. I know Chevy introduced that tamer radiant red a couple years ago. It’s more of a burgundy red to me. Red hot red is very sporty and stands out in a crowd of those plain jane colors. I guess some people don’t like to standout in the crowd. We get so many good comments on our Blazer. It’s so sad to see red hot red it go.
I love the red. I call mine “Big Red”
I thought the Blazer RS meant Rally Sport. What’s more of a sport color than Red Hot Red ?
