Representing just the second model year of the all-electric crossover, the upcoming 2025 Chevy Blazer EV will introduce a few notable updates over the 2024 Blazer EV. Now, it appears as though the Bow Tie electric crossover will lose a single paint color for the 2025 model year.
The Red Hot (color code G7C) paint color will be dropped following the 2024 model year. As of the time of this writing, there is no direct replacement for the paint shade. However, it’s worth noting that the 2025 Blazer EV will still be offered in another red hue, namely Radiant Red Tintcoat (color code GNT).
The omitting of the Red Hot tinge leaves seven paint colors remaining for the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV, including (relevant color code in parentheses):
- Black (GBA)
- Galaxy Gray Metallic (GJY)
- Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (G1W)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Riptide Blue Metallic (GJV)
- Sterling Gray Metallic (GXD)
- Summit White (GAZ)
In other 2025 Blazer EV-related developments, GM Authority reported that the 2LT equipment group will be renamed the Blazer EV 4LT for the upcoming model year. In doing so, both the Convenience and Driver Confidence Package (RPO code WPN) and the Comfort and Convenience Package (RPO code ZFT) will no longer be required for Blazer EV LT units. More specifically, all the features in the former package will now be equipped as standard equipment across the board, while the latter package will be offered as a standalone option.
As a reminder, the Chevy Blazer EV lies on the GM BEV3 platform and is powered by GM Ultium battery and GM Ultium Drive motor technologies. Meanwhile, production of the 2025 model year will kick off in June 2024 at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

Still an ALARMINGLY ugly vehicle, with or without “fire engine red” to draw attention to it. SRY NOT SRY. Let the flaming commence in 3, 2, 1…
A deliberate moronic troll post.
You mean you didn’t like all of my clever little allusions to redness? How embarrassing.
I thought the Blazer RS meant Rally Sport. What’s more of a sport color than Red Hot Red. The Corvette has been using Torch Red for many years. It’s about the same color. I like bright red colors. I know when I had my 79 Corvette painted years ago bright red was more expensive. I think Chevy should make Red Hot Red a special order color. Maybe gm is trying to save money?
And it remains a fairly popular color, year after year. They’ll prolly come back with another shade of non-metallic red in the future.
The Red Hot color is atrocious. GM needs to lose it entirely.
Is this a picture of the base model Optiq? The base model has a different grille from the $54K model.
Would be nice to have some deep hues like charcoal grey or a deep blue instead of all the light colors. Mostly because I want one of those colors on an Equinox EV and they share the same paint shop as the Blazer EV. Went to order but just can’t pull the trigger on the existing palette. Had a Blazer EV reserved but it’s way too hideous and huge for a 5 person vehicle (as well as the associated horrible efficiency). If they keep this vehicle, it needs to be reshaped into a “normal” vehicle with “normal” styling like the Equinox EV.
