Although uncertainty still lingers in the air for the Cadillac CT4‘s future in the United States, the upcoming 2025 model year is set to bring about minor updates and changes for the luxury sedan. That being said, the 2025 Cadillac CT4 will lose a paint color after the 2024 model year.
The Midnight Steel Metallic (color code GXU) paint color will be dropped from the CT4 following the conclusion of the 2024 model year. In its place, the 2025 Cadillac CT4 will offer two other shades, including Deep Space Metallic (color code GAI) and Typhoon Metallic (color code GBW).
It’s worth noting that the Midnight Steel Metallic hue will also be dropped from the performance-minded CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing variants.
As a reminder, Caddy’s larger luxury sedan – the Cadillac CT5 – will receive a mid-cycle refresh for the 2025 model year that will boast updated exterior styling and an overhauled interior. With that in mind, it may stand to reason that the CT4 would receive a revision of its own for an upcoming model year, yet General Motors hasn’t given any indication that this is in the cards.
Under the hood, the Cadillac CT4 is available with three powerplant choices, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque (or 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque in the CT4-V), and the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine, rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque.
Of course, the 3.6L LF4 is only available in the high-performance CT4-V Blackwing model.
In regard to structure, the CT4 is underpinned by the GM Alpha 2 platform, which the aforementioned CT5 also rides on. North American production of the 2025 model year is currently scheduled to commence on June 3rd, 2024 at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
