2025 Buick Envision Won’t Get This Paint Color

Just one model year removed from the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision, the eventual 2025 Buick Envision will likely feature just a few changes over the 2024 model. In fact, the 2024 Envision hasn’t even hit dealership lots yet, and General Motors is already gearing up for 2025 model year production by dropping a paint color for the 2025 Envision.

GM Authority has learned that the Cinnabar Metallic (color code GEJ) paint color will not be on offer for the 2025 model year. In its place, the 2025 Buick Envision will feature the Brilliant Red (color code GES) paint hue which will be available across the entire trim lineup consisting of Preferred, Sport Touring (ST) and Avenir.

It’s worth noting that orders for the 2024 Envision have already closed, while units painted in the Cinnabar shade will be built out by the end of May 2024.

As a reminder, the Buick Envision is expected to have a very short 2024 model year, as GM Authority confirmed that the refreshed Tri-Shield crossover is set to launch in the United States later this summer. At the same time, GM Authority also reported that the start of regular production (SORP) of the 2025 Envision is slated to kick off in August 2024. Depending on when exactly the 2024 Envision finally lands in dealer lots, there may only be a few months separating the two model years.

In regard to the Tri-Shield brand crossover’s mid-cycle refresh, the 2024 Envision features a revised exterior design and thoroughly overhaul interior. More specifically, the front and rear fascias have been reworked, while the cabin is highlighted by a larger center display and reworked center stack.

Under the hood of the reworked Envision lies the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while output is routed to the standard AWD drivetrain via the GM nine-speed automatic transmission.

As for structure, the Envision rides on the GM E2 platform, while production takes place at the GM-SAIC Jinqiao Plant in China.

  1. Brighter reds don’t sell on Buicks and GM never seems to learn. Here we go again. I see that most units stalled on Buick lots are almost always red.

  3. Question, the Envision is built in CHINA(BUMMER) . I know I could look, but what is the first number in the VIN#? JUST CURIOUS.
I bought an XT4 because it wasn’t built in China… it cost more than an envision, but only because it’s a GLORIFIED ENVISION? REALLY! For the vehicle the Buick isn’t any cheaper because it was built in China, only more profit for GM-Mary!!

  4. I’m confused, I have been calling dealerships for several months and have been told the 2024 Envision is not able to be ordered yet. They told me to keep checking the build and price section of the Buick website (which I do daily). Once it moves from the future vehicles section and allows me to build one, then I can order it from the dealership. Now, this article is saying the window to order a 2024 Envision has closed??? Could someone please offer some insight?
