2025 Buick Encore GX Configurator Live

Buick fans and potential customers can now explore and customize the 2025 Buick Encore GX using the official online configurator tool at Buick’s website. This tool provides a detailed look at the features, specs, and equipment of the latest model year for this subcompact crossover. The 2025 Buick Encore GX follows up on the refreshed 2024 model year with a few important updates and changes.

Perhaps the most impactful update introduced by the 2025 Buick Encore GX is the new E85-compatible engine, specifically the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LBP gasoline engine. The new LBP is available in the base-level Preferred FWD model, and supports high-ethanol E85 fuel. This engine delivers the same performance as its predecessor, the 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, producing 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. For those seeking more power, the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine remains an option, though it does not support E85.

Another notable feature for the 2025 model year is the introduction of a new paint option, specifically Aquamarine Blue Metallic (paint code GKN), which is exclusive to the Sport Touring (ST) trim level. Aquamarine Blue Metallic arrives as an indirect replacement for Sunrise Red Metallic (paint code GMF), which is not available for the 2025 Buick Encore GX.

The 2025 Encore GX is also offered with a variety of safety and convenience features, such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, IntelliBeam auto high beams, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Under the skin, the Encore GX continues to ride on the GM VSS-F vehicle set and is produced at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea.

As a reminder, the refreshed 2024 Buick Encore GX was unveiled in February of the 2023 calendar year, bringing with it new styling, a new interior, the new Buick Virtual Cockpit System, and more.

  1. Well I, for one, am struck by the all-new styling of the 2025 model. And yet there is no mention of the prominent “ST” badge on the front door, which changes the whole dynamic of the design from where I’m sitting. The pretty blue paint is secondary to this revelatory, transformative design character change-up.

  2. That pretty blue you say is available isn’t even listed.
